The new one is much nicer ! Guys don't use the old one as a female trex unless you modify it !

Fantastic. I think the arms are in the wrong position though.

Anatomically I'm pretty sure they couldn't bend their arms like that:

They're both excellent, don't really see what's so bad about the old one, since the differences are so minimal, the average player would barely notice them.

Exactly my point, if the older one was to be the female/male version then change it a bit to see the difference.

The older one is gonna need a slight update if its to become part of the final project.

Though maybe you can merge the old head with the new body, and rely on the different shapes for dimorphism.

Also, I'm impressed that you corrected the hand postion in the new model. The amount of detail it has its outstanding.

The only one was much better. All you had to do was change the positioning of the arms.

How many dinosaurs have you finished?
What dinosaurs will be featured in this modd?
If there is some information on dinosaurs that will be featured in crysis that we are not allowed to know about then only mention the dinosaurs that are.
Thanks!

I think it's a good improvement on the old one, specially on the high detail maps for wrinkles and bumps. I like the idea of having a slightly different looking female version, you might wanna think about doing a less weathered version, maybe with less bumps and scars. Or the other way around, a more weathered looking female, whatever is historically correct ;)

maybe you should add some more differences between the male and female versions.

Just an idea, if you wouldn't do that, it's great in this way :D

Description

Here you can see the new trex (at the bottom) and the older one which is about 2 years old now. The dimensions are exactly the same, and still uses the same base mesh for Zbrush sculpting.

The new trex has had a major facelift and nip and tuck, adding a lot more details throughout the body and emphasizing the fact that dinosaurs might of grew small bumps/mounds throughout the body.

We might end up using both, as a male/female version. However the original rex is showing its age now hence the total upgrade.
