It has long been a fan wish to be able to roam the island freely. That has always been the main goal of this mod : to allow the fans to go back to the island, the WHOLE island, and be able to explore it all. My online name is yung23, and I have been mapping the LOST island on and off since 2004. Using the Sandbox2 engine I have nearly completed the LOST island in ONE level. Due to the size restrictions of the program, the island is roughly 8km x 8km but I wish it could be twice that size to do the LOST island justice. I am currently modelling and texturing most of the LOST locales, using screencaps as reference. This mod has been in production on and off for years and is thee first LOST mod in existence. My plan has always been to model all of the locations seen in the show and present them in their most likely locales on the island.

I plan to add John Lockes knife set into the island pickups so players can actually get to the station.. as you'll need to kill the shark. I figure a multiplayer with bots also trying to kill you will be neat, and fair to both sides.

Perhaps those who summon smokey, will be able to use him to wipe out areas.. capturing the locale..

this will be a struggle match, unless other modders have better ideas.?

and no single player.. this is enough work.
I just want to finish up the assets, place them all and detail the island around them, then add a few spawn points, capture points and pick ups then release the damn thing.

So no basic exploring? I think a total map excursion would be just fine with MP options but most people just wanna explore the island and get chased by the smoke monster

you'd have to get to the other side of the island to even fight the opposing force.. or meet mid way as each tries to "invade" each others camps.. taking them over.

I haven't even PLAYED a single Crysis MP mod yet, maybe I should to get a better idea on how this mod will actually work ? is there one people play a lot out there ?

adding the exterior is harder than I thought, apparently you cant simply throw a cube around the visarea as it disappears too.. even though its bigger than it & not touching it ! I guess I'll need to import the sides, tops and bottoms sepearately too, and place them just outside the visarea.....

now to finish texturing, lighting and tightening up.. but I got it all working.. :)

the solution was already there, I just hadn't found it. I made the portals use sky only (which luckily fixed the water volume issue too).. I will simply use materials on the faces which make up the windows..faking the view..
and I need to add charlies dying room with the button and such..
