It's approximately a hundred years from now... The aftermath of the Third World War. Countries all over the world are suffering an economic crisis which has led to a dramatic food and water shortage. The countries that do have enough resources are under martial law, food and water are not being divided equally, consequently civil war has broken out.

(WAS going to say it reminded me of Killzone's STA-52 but I'm guessing you'd tire of seeing that repeated often)...anyway, I really like the design, different, modern and looks like its mass produced (suitable for a military as large as China's).

Just a thought, don't you think you named the rifle a little wrong? AR7 implies: Assault Rifle 7...and modern Chinese weapons arent classified that way. An example of today's Chinese weapon classification would be: QBZ-95 Assault Rifle (in service from 1995) or the QBZ-03 Assault Rifle (in service from 2003), etc etc. Just a thought.

Good comment! : D

All Chinese Military Industries (CMI) equipment will have simple naming conventions like "Assault Rifle (version) 7" or ammunition not named after calibre but function like the "Armor Piercing Round (version) 2".

Other equipment found on the battlefield will have more traditional naming conventions like the "SPC-20". (A more high-tech assault rifle carried by World Union troops)

Good reply! ^^

That's fair enough, makes sense. Makes me wonder about what else you mod's background will unviel: example; military organization, tactical doctrine, politics, designs, etc etc. (I'm an background/information nut... =D)

Thanks for the reply. :P

Description

This is a rifle carried by the Chinese army. Often taken from dead Chinese soldiers after a firefight with rebels, this making it a popular weapon on the battlefield for both sides.
It comes fitted with a camera instead of a scope, which gives a live feed to the HUD that is integrated into the Chinese soldier’s helmet.
The AR7 magazine contains 30 high-velocity APR2 rounds that pack quite a punch.
