I love this mech. One question tough. It seems to me the whole weight of an arm hinges on the first section of the shoulder. Especially when it is rotating and doing an upward movement. While the arm clearly uses servomotors, will there be hydraulic cylinders? I just feel the aforementioned shoulder has to withstand an awful lot of force, and looks a bit unsupported. I think almost every great mecha design has this magic in itself, maybe others hide it under a pauldron or a bunch of pneumatics and hydraulics.
But the whole WK-AX3 reminds me of Vitaly Bulgarov's Korean mech design, yours just look better. (While Bulgarov is a great designer in the VFX industry, the mech's shape which came to life is disproportionated, and lost something which the concept art clearly had.)

The joints are actually combination of servos and artificial muscles so hydraulics are not necessary. There may be also external muscles added for extra movement precision control and support.

Also as this version is more about testing the basic structure design and movement, it is far from final. You are right about how good pauldrons are for hiding this stuff though! :D We will have them too but its important for us that whats under them actually works too!

Thanks! It is indeed another step forward! (though it does not have legs yet)

But also please do elaborate on the cliffs! what did you not like about them? I have already changed the design a bit but Id like to hear what you had in mind!

If you could reply on one of the rock pics, it would keep the discussion in better order!

No no no, don't misunderstand me, it's not that i don't like the cliffs, it's just that I find those mechs more interesting and so I was more excited to have news about them !

xD Ah I understand! The rock making has been quite interesting technical process but that does not really relate through few pictures. :D The robots are far more interesting to look at I must admit. just for you I'll post a pic of something I just toyed with! x9
