Just kidding, I know it's very hard to get a full proper design that you really like at the first time (I like to draw a lot, and to search the best concept ;)

Yeah you are correct though, first draft usually has lot of room to improve as the concept matures a bit. Also when you see something you've made in action, like I saw the dropship while we tested it, it's very likely that you notice something you don't like and want to redo.

There will really new stuff coming too when we get these out, so dont worry! :D

I got a bit siderailed again as we made the dropship cargo hold script a few days ago. It gave me time to evaluate the first design and I saw some room to improve it.

I wanted to make the hull of the ship to look more capable of orbital re-entry, with all moving pieces safely embedded into covered compartments and the hull shaped to better take the entry burn.

Also on the first design the cargo bay doors opened up so that their geometry bounced the whole ship as they touched the ground while opening and I wanted to address that issue too as well as some others.

The new design is built with interior in mind more than the first one and it will help me to fit in what the crew needs far better though it has occured to me that this ship may not be large enough to house and support the whole crew of the salvage company for interstellar travel so we may have to design something appropriate for that too. Some sort of Space borne freighter or something like that. Anyway thats a different topic and something that does not affect the game, but I think it is important for the lore we are building.
