It's a panoramic picture, don't forget to check it in original size (click on the "view original" button, or right click on that, and "open in new tab").
I kinda hope blowout shelters won't be handed out everywhere in LA, it was so cool and tense in the NPP levels during freeplay, if **** goes down you're pretty surely ******.
8 million!? Nice. You guys increased what the engine could originally handle, eh? I heard it was around 3.6 / 3.7 million (I might ofc. be wrong so correct me if I am!)
Keep this up guys, this mod/game/project is going to be BIG. I just know it :)
thats just great! love how close to the original vision you guys have come here, looks very believable and i just CAN'T wait to play through this stalker-version again when its finally there!
Oh yes, this is what I like to see. I just want to camp up a hill with my binoculars, Mosin-Nagant and 5 bullets, watching a lair of dogs chewing on a dead bandit.

But It hits performence even on pretty decent rigs - well depends on which grass density you set =) But grass shadow is mostly worth few FPS lower render speed=)
Awesome, awesome, awesome. Now we can finally experience S.T.A.L.K.E.R as we saw it in the cinematics, artwork and so-on. For a guy who was delighted by the size of CoP maps, this is just bliss :)
I'm so glad to have donated towards the success of this project.
As others have said words can barely describe the grandeur of this picture this is excellent work for those of you who have eyefinity enable it and then view the pic
Hot diggity damn, this is great. With the recent images released outside of the monthlies & special occasions, it's giving me hope for a relatively soon release :D

wow... no words man.
This is inside a game?
Yes, no color correction and other manipulation apart of stitching few screenshots in a panorama.
holy s**t that looks awesome!
I cant wait until it's released so I can explore that valley.
Oh my.. A sniper would be a good weapon here!
*Chambers round* This is gonna be fun! *insert Mordecai's laugh (from borderlands)*
Great stuff - especially grass is fantastic :)
Time won't be my best friend when I'll walk through this valley.
fantastic picture, can't wait to play the final game
-going to hunt some flesh
-staying in the middle of nowhere:
"KAAAAAAAAAA-BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM" *Blowout*

Zone is a harsh place.
Bad luck stalker. XD
Ps. Such a serenity, I should camp here sometimes.
Nice
Holy ****..
boner
Will this go smooth on graphic cards like gf 9600, old 8800 or any kind of gt 240?
not on max graphics, but it will run fine. the level has ca. 8million polys, and 3x bigger than cop zaton.
Countryside?

3x bigger as in surface area or lenght/width?
either way this ****'s gonna be huge man this is cool i tell you what damn
lol wow.
Where is this? Judging by the road, I would say the agroprom but I could be way off. I haven't been in the Zone in a while.
I thought it was the Cordon just with expanded borders.
dez said it's 3x bigger than CoP Zaton, so I don't think it's Agroprom. Still... really hard to guess lol.
who said we like to walk?!
this stalker doesn't, at least not large distances.
still, this does look indeed really awesome!!
leon
I suggest you save up and buy a car in LA.
That's what I'd call "breathtaking". The sky is especially beautiful!
Beautiful, really reminds me of the 1979 Stalker film, proper atmosphere going on here!
thats just great! love how close to the original vision you guys have come here, looks very believable and i just CAN'T wait to play through this stalker-version again when its finally there!
awesome job guys, love it! :)
wow huge map,awesome :)
One Question, tell me about your progres dez, when you was going to tell us there's a release date instead of TBD? many fans waiting for a response
Oh yes, this is what I like to see. I just want to camp up a hill with my binoculars, Mosin-Nagant and 5 bullets, watching a lair of dogs chewing on a dead bandit.
That is amazing!
oooo so nice and beautiful
Can't wait to go for a walk. :)

I'm not interested in DayZ anymore...
i lost interest in dayz the moment the servers turned into ****.
Wow, beautiful, especially the sky is breath-taking!
Great!
This is so immersive. That is quite a picturesque landscape, as if it came from a painting of the natural zone.
Is possible to implement grass shadow like SoC under patch 1.004 ?
It's already there ;)
But It hits performence even on pretty decent rigs - well depends on which grass density you set =) But grass shadow is mostly worth few FPS lower render speed=)
What is the grass draw distance? 150-200?
This picture alone seems larger than vanilla maps
That's alot of grass. Still no CryEngine, but who cares? Very atmospheric.

Great picture, but what are those mushroom looking thing floating on the skyline in the middle of the picture?
