Nope. It's co-op with military.
I hope co-op is not necessary for storyline - i hate military XD

Ditto. The army is always the enemy for every faction, I will take any opportunity I can to kill them as long as it doesn't screw up the storyline.

I love the idea of working with the military. I hate killing them in the normal game. They're just poor soldiers sent to that shithole, the zone x)

You get a good idea of what situation a lot of them are in when you listen to the deserted soldier in Agroprom. "Using us to fill in every gap."

(buried)

I killed him for being a traitor, stay true to who you bleed with or die, such is life in Zone. The artifact I got for the hit wasn't bad either, came in handy lol

From the updated FAQ:

Q: Will we see military patrols?

A: Yes. They usually check the well known paths, but no need to be hostile with them. You can stay neutral, if you follow their rules. Later in storyline you can even cooperate with them in some tasks.

That feel when in SHoC my first Obj is to always ambush the patrol and get their gear so life in the zone is much easier for a little while.

they are red, but they wont shoot if not necessary. thats a basic rule of military almost everywhere. if they ask you to holster your wpn, and pass by, then you can do that to avoid fight, but if you want to fight with them, its up to you. however everything affects your reputation...

Also keep in mind they have to compensate for the lack of HDR. Vanilla nights in CS were ridiculously dark.

This looks like a part of the ''tutorial'' (absurd I know, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. never had tutorials just tips ;D), pretty interesting.

So curious how the situation evolves.

Cheers!
