Based on the new fan fiction by tvig0r0us, Long Road Home places players right into the plot of the story. The campaign is based on events following the battle depicted in This Is War when the PLA forces reassert themselves on the island of Skira. In the absence of the desire of the Japanese to maintain a presence on the island, they US have been called in to show a presence in the region pending diplomatic negotiations. While the hope is that the negotiations will result in a peaceful resolution, the reality is mired by unfortunate circumstances that land you and your team in the middle of an impossible situation.

This first installment of the campaign is an epic journey encompassing half of the island, with the implementation of random spawning and static assets, the mission has a solid story set amidst random elements that provide a different scenario almost every time.
Unlike the past mission creations of tvig0r0us, this one has been supported by a development team that helped contribute concepts and mission elements to provide a well rounded tactical experience. We have invested much time and energy in the gameplay provided by Long Road Home and hope you will enjoy the missions and associated fan fiction.
