I always thought the Y-Tie has an Tie Cockpit and Y-Wing engines at the sides. At least it was described in this form in one of the Rougesquad books
Those are called "TYE-wings"
Y-TIE can also refer to TYE-wings (there are also other names for those), but it is the only name for the combo of y-wing cockpit and tie solar panels.
