this is a sneak preview for our upcoming project “Lightspire.” An Action Adventure RPG using the Cryengine2. We wish to turn lightspire into a commercial game soon. I know a lot of you are probably wondering what the game is about, what are some of the features, and most importantly, when can it be played; all your questions and more will be answered soon at the launch of the website in the coming week. However, the team and I have been working very hard on this project for the past 3-4 months, and we are just dying to leak out some of the work to the other fellow Game Development communities. Please keep checking in and exploring the websites, as once they launch, they will have all the information needed. Here at Lukewarm, we like to give sneak peaks with a bang… Allow me to say “The evolution of fantasy is on its way!”

Lightspire is still here!

In the past few months, there have been multiple developments on pretty much all fronts at Lukewarm Media, many of which will become clear over the next few days/weeks/months. With the personnel changes it has been tough to coordinate ourselves but here we are back on form with another update.

As the update will show we are still pumping out the assets and content required to make this game.
It is of course a massive undertaking to make something of this scope and magnitude but nevertheless, we march forward on the long path to completion!

Currently we are evaluating the options that are available to us in terms of making this game commercial. The routes we can take vary greatly and our quite complex and it largely depends on our budget and marketing plan and of course, investment.

In the meantime, we will make an effort to keep cranking out the content, and whilst we can't promise regular updates, we can promise that they will be of the quality that you have come to expect from us!

Rest assured, this game will be a mod until we say so otherwise! Enjoy the update and as always your feedback and comments are welcome and appreciated. Stay tuned!

Our concept artists have some fresh, new images which are for the tribe village of the dragon lancer.
This village is extremely primitive, and is largely made up of bones, mud and other natural substances.
Amongst the other concepts are a new piece of promotional artwork of the dragon lancer eye to eye with a fierce dragon, as well as concepts of new creatures, and locations.

I've got to ask, and I hope you'll be honest, are you rec'ving any funding through the development process? Bcs if you are, I think you should bow out of any future nominations.

As said above, all media we have released was created with the mod SDK version for Crysis. We have no funding for this project, and this was created in our spare time outside of our jobs.

I'm sorry to be disappointing you.. However we are not funded. We don't have a dime in the project, no publishers, no investors. In fact we just recently got the "evaluation license" From Crytek a few weeks ago. Everything you see or have seen we built for free on our spare time.

The game kindof reminds me of project offset, but god only knows what happened to project offset now, it's kindof fallen off the face of the planet it seems :P

In any case, both this mod and project offset and absolutely fantastic, so even if one comes out, or both comes out, I would love them both all the same :D

Project Offset got aquired by Intel and is going to be their pet title for Intel's new Larrabee graphics card. ¬¬

We are working on improving many aspects of LightSpire so that people will even forget Project Offset exists :p.
