this is a sneak preview for our upcoming project “Lightspire.” An Action Adventure RPG using the Cryengine2. We wish to turn lightspire into a commercial game soon. I know a lot of you are probably wondering what the game is about, what are some of the features, and most importantly, when can it be played; all your questions and more will be answered soon at the launch of the website in the coming week. However, the team and I have been working very hard on this project for the past 3-4 months, and we are just dying to leak out some of the work to the other fellow Game Development communities. Please keep checking in and exploring the websites, as once they launch, they will have all the information needed. Here at Lukewarm, we like to give sneak peaks with a bang… Allow me to say “The evolution of fantasy is on its way!”

Lightspire is still here!

In the past few months, there have been multiple developments on pretty much all fronts at Lukewarm Media, many of which will become clear over the next few days/weeks/months. With the personnel changes it has been tough to coordinate ourselves but here we are back on form with another update.

As the update will show we are still pumping out the assets and content required to make this game.
It is of course a massive undertaking to make something of this scope and magnitude but nevertheless, we march forward on the long path to completion!

Currently we are evaluating the options that are available to us in terms of making this game commercial. The routes we can take vary greatly and our quite complex and it largely depends on our budget and marketing plan and of course, investment.

In the meantime, we will make an effort to keep cranking out the content, and whilst we can't promise regular updates, we can promise that they will be of the quality that you have come to expect from us!

Rest assured, this game will be a mod until we say so otherwise! Enjoy the update and as always your feedback and comments are welcome and appreciated. Stay tuned!

Concepts

Our concept artists have some fresh, new images which are for the tribe village of the dragon lancer.
This village is extremely primitive, and is largely made up of bones, mud and other natural substances.
Amongst the other concepts are a new piece of promotional artwork of the dragon lancer eye to eye with a fierce dragon, as well as concepts of new creatures, and locations.

As awesome as this mod looks, im gonna have to be honest and say that, well, not for your mod specificaly, but for all mods, that i would never pay money for them, as i've learned in the past with GMOD10 for steam... It was definately not worth the money i had spent on it.

But, i can't say that you guys aren't doing a great job, your doing alot better then most other commercial releases have. If their's going to be a demo, then i really can't wait for it.

I am completely blown away at the quality presented in this update. I recall seeing a 2008 update and thinking it looked great but now it is beyond amazing! Those screens with the dragon climbing up the cliff are simply stunning and make me giggle just thinking about those scenes in motion/action.

For a 'spare time' mod this really is amazing in my opinion. Keep up the great work and don't loose sight of your goal. I know I would pay money for an independent game like this :)

You look a little slow to become commercial if you ask me. I think you should work faster and create more in a little amount of time to become a commercial game that we can call good. We've seen only some characters and so little parts of environments. I'm sorry to say that that, but though you are so good as a mod, I don't think this is enough for a commercial game.

Well to be fair, this only been in development for little less then a year.. We never claimed for this to be a finished product. We are not funded yet, We also build this completely on our own free time until we can find a investor to support the project full time.

So, you plan to sell this instead of having it as a free mod?
I wouldn't be upset by it, I'm just wondering. This looks amazing and even if it was free I'd most likely try to donate what I can to you guys just because the quality is so damn good. Keep it up!
