this is a sneak preview for our upcoming project “Lightspire.” An Action Adventure RPG using the Cryengine2. We wish to turn lightspire into a commercial game soon. I know a lot of you are probably wondering what the game is about, what are some of the features, and most importantly, when can it be played; all your questions and more will be answered soon at the launch of the website in the coming week. However, the team and I have been working very hard on this project for the past 3-4 months, and we are just dying to leak out some of the work to the other fellow Game Development communities. Please keep checking in and exploring the websites, as once they launch, they will have all the information needed. Here at Lukewarm, we like to give sneak peaks with a bang… Allow me to say “The evolution of fantasy is on its way!”

In the past few months, there have been multiple developments on pretty much all fronts at Lukewarm Media, many of which will become clear over the next few days/weeks/months. With the personnel changes it has been tough to coordinate ourselves but here we are back on form with another update.
As the update will show we are still pumping out the assets and content required to make this game.
It is of course a massive undertaking to make something of this scope and magnitude but nevertheless, we march forward on the long path to completion!
Currently we are evaluating the options that are available to us in terms of making this game commercial. The routes we can take vary greatly and our quite complex and it largely depends on our budget and marketing plan and of course, investment.
In the meantime, we will make an effort to keep cranking out the content, and whilst we can't promise regular updates, we can promise that they will be of the quality that you have come to expect from us!
Rest assured, this game will be a mod until we say so otherwise! Enjoy the update and as always your feedback and comments are welcome and appreciated. Stay tuned!
Our concept artists have some fresh, new images which are for the tribe village of the dragon lancer.
This village is extremely primitive, and is largely made up of bones, mud and other natural substances.
Amongst the other concepts are a new piece of promotional artwork of the dragon lancer eye to eye with a fierce dragon, as well as concepts of new creatures, and locations.
Why is this mod listed of Xbox360 when Crysis didn't even come out for consoles?
maybe they have for project to release their mod as a shipped game available on xbox360 and ps3. So they need the CE2 license i suppose.
That's why i was talking about the UE3 license because they can get it freely if they do the MSUC and win a gain of time because UE3 is already used on consoles.
what do u think about that?
hate to disapoint.. but from what i know.. cryengine does not work on consoles as of yet. and when they do get it working on there they will need to totally rebuild most of the game to work on there.
the ps3 cannot handle the FULL POWER of the cryengine and the 360 will struggle on medium.
if you wanna console it UE3 is the way to go. but these guys look like they have a good game there :)
i look forward to playing it :)
*Hands over credit card*
Wait, what? This is FREE???
I'll pay anyway, just give me. Now.
will it be first or third person view?
It will be a 3rd person 1-2 player co-op game.
why dont u try to win the unreal engine 3 license with the MSUC?
maybe my question is stupid ..
because with the quality of your mod sure u are on a good way to win..
A lot of the models you see are Hi-res models. But we also built low-res models and made normal maps off the z brush model.
You have to be joking, this is really professional work. Just how did you manage to optimize these models' polycount down to something playable? The whole thing looks amazing...
COOL AWESOME SWEET xD
