L.I.G.H.T. mod for Half-Life 2

L.I.G.H.T. puts you in the boots of one of the L.I.G.H.T.s (Lurid International Ghost Hunting Team), a company of Earth's remenant soldiers and mercenaries specializing in countering The Enshroud.

In 2016, two-thirds of the planet from the Southern Hemisphere had all fossil fuel and nuclear based energy powered down and off. A month later, Enshroud, shadow based enemies, started appearing all over the darkened globe, taking down humans for the picking.

Almost two years after that incident, humanity is worn down, and all the humans remaining are either in military sanctioned refugee camps in the remaining Northern Hemisphere, scattered in the desolate cities, or infested by Enshroud. The L.I.G.H.Ts are focused on finding out a way to destroy the Enshroud's grasp, and rescuing all survivors.

Gameplay wise, things will be tough. Bullets are near-useless against the Enshroud, taking three clips of direct shots to take down a Hunter, the speedster of the Enshroud Army. Plus there are a lot of them, so you're pretty fucked if bullets are all you'll be using.

That's where light comes in. The weakness of the Enshroud is light, like a hot knife through black, creepy butter. This opens a lot of gameplay possibilities. Flashlights and flares soon become your best friends.

As is the wrench. Another way to use light is by building contraptions using light. You can go on the defensive, like building a barricade or a spotlight turret, or you could go on the offensive and paste a ton of lights on a car and charge into Enshroud frontlines.

This is a co-op mod (subject to change to an FPS/RTS...), so teamwork will also be a focus.
