Life Among Death
is an Unreal Engine based Game/Mod (But for ease of typing, it will be referred to as a mod until full release.) that puts the player into the Post-Apocalyptic world that's been overrun by zombies. It focuses less on the act of killing zombies mindlessly, and more about strategic survival in their world. Survival will be based on getting food to satisfy your need for sustenance, water for quenching your thirst, and shelter, to restore your fatigue.
The above acts can be achieved any way the player sees available, whether it be foraging the mountains for berries, or sleeping on a locked roof to get a good night's sleep. Our team has many plans for this mod, and are working hard to achieve them and personify them into a mod.
Some of these plans include the intricate survival system stated above, a brand new character management menu, a bunch of weapons, RPG elements and much much more. If this sounds like your cup of tea, we have a forum set up where Mod watchers can get updated on what's going on with the dev team, and see any updates that might not be listed here.

Scrapped a long time ago in favour of a new rendition of this idea. Perhaps at a later date I can revisit this idea.
:D I feel special. Seriously though, I wish I could get onto a team... oh well, guess I'll go back to giving myself headaches studying this programming.

Hey, Hold in there guys! I wanna see this mod day. I will admit, I do kinda miss being a part of this, but I'm not into modeling anymore, my mapping is a joke, and I'm on a route to learning Java, not C++ :/

So, from what I understand, this'll be a non-linear zombie survival (with some possible horror elements...?) game, with the good ol' zombies (meaning no L4D smokers or hunters) and no stupid player vs. player mode? FINALLY.

Love the idea! Great to see people working on what I would think of as a "real" zombie game. And the name is fine :P
I'm a hardcore old school zombie fan so I'm just wondering because its based on survival will you only have the "real" zombies? As in slow moving creeping death, that can only be killed with a will placed shot to the head? I think I would drop dead if someone did that, (in a great way). Because if its based on survival then ammo will be low and you would have to Think about your shots making the slow moving dead a real threat >:)
The mod sounds like it has potential, and not just another shoot em' up zombie mod. If your code gets most of what you say finished, I wouldnt mind giving a hand with mapping.

Almost thought it was revived like No Room in Hell.
Still, glad to see this mod is following the views from that mod and will definitely be watching this mod.
Will this mod be SP based or MP based?
Will the mod be a campaign trying to get to a location or just free roam on how long you survive?
