Though they may seem stagnant as you put them away, Legamen are far from it. In fact, as you read this, there are Legamen all over the world living similar lives as we do. These Legamen face many of the same conflicts that we humans do – their lives are a constant struggle for survival. Ever since their creation, Legamen of different races and divisions have been fighting to keep their kind from extinction.

With the increasing rate of new Lega toys, the existing divisions have come up against tough competition. Slowly they are being fazed out of existence. Their only chance for survival relies on the expansion of their kind and since manufacturing of such Legamen has been terminated, these Legamen are being forced to take extreme measures. A special recycling method in which Lego is melted and remolded has provided new opportunities for disappearing divisions. These Legamen have gone to war, destroying and using each other for parts. These wars are known as the “LegaWarz”.

While children are out and about playing with other toys, Legamen are engaging in full-scale combat in the backyard, in playgrounds, and on the streets, searching for Lego that they can convert to their own. As a member of one of these divisions, you must accept your role and apply your skills and abilities wisely for the good of the team. Some of your missions will require you to capture enemy logs, build Lega recyclers, and even go on dangerous bombing runs. In the true Lego® spirit, you will need to use strategy and planning in order to complete these missions and defeat your enemy.

Hi there,

1) There's two ways to uninstall the mod. 1 - If you chose to install the "uninstaller", goto Add/Remove programs and uninstall LegaWarz. 2 - Goto your Addons folder and delete anything beginning with LWZ.

2) Who knows. They liked the game but they didn't like that we were using the name "Lego". That's why we changed it to LegaWarz.

1) Is there any way to uninstall this mod?

2) Why haven't Lego bought this and sold it yet?

You're right, it was originally planned for BF1942, but since there was no official SDK available, and limited mod tools, it turned out to be quite difficult to design the mod, especially with the different game modes and scripting.

Operation Flashpoint, on the other hand, is very well designed for modding, and the team had experience with it. It offers vehicles, and large maps, as well as a nice scripting engine. Agreed the graphics aren't as good as the more recent Battlefield 1942, but it is a nice engine to use for the mod.

With the handy developer tools OFP has, LegaWarz turned out to be feast in gaming. :D

Too bad you don't have the game to enjoy the mod. The BF1942 SDK was actually released a little while ago, so porting it might be a possibility. But the rest of the team (not me), is busy with other design projects. Like a first person hockey mod using UT2k3.

If you ever see OPF w/ Resistance on sale, be sure to grab it :P

I saw some concept art of this SWEET SWEET mod that looked like it was originally planned to be made in BF1942 (ie. in a bf1942 level with lego dudes n stuff put in).

Can I ask what made you make the move to Operation Flashpoint? (I'm just curious, I wont be able to play it unfortunately - I have BF42 but not operation flashpoint, and don't plan to buy it for just one mod, no matter HOW cool it is ;))

Hey JoE,

About the CD, I thought I saw Siv post up a response to it the other day but seems to be gone now...strange...anyways, it would be a good idea to get a copy of the newest flashpoint upgrade "resistance". Its what the newest version of this mod,"LegaWarz Beta 1.1" uses. But you should still be able to play the old version "Beta 1.0" with your version of the game. At least you were able to get a working CD :).

Also, to uninstall, there should be an uninstall option in your start menu...but if there isnt for some reason, just go to your control panel and select "Add/Remove Programs", and choose LegaWarz. And, just to cover all bases, you could also manually delete the addons from your "Addon" folder within the Codemasters/Operation Flashpoint directory.

Laterz :)
