Legend of the Toa is total conversion mod for TES V Skryim set in the popular Bionicle universe, originally created by Lego. For the first time in the history of Bionicle, this mod will give the players a chance to experience the unique and entrancing world of Bionicle in an open-world environment. The mod will focus on the first year of Bionicle and will feature the big and mystical island of Mata Nui, with its diverse landscapes, ranging from lush jungle to vast deserts, snowy mountains, huge caverns and lava rivers.
The player will be able to create and take control of his own Toa, one of the six legendary warriors, who were sent to Mata Nui to protect the Matoran, the innocent inhabitants of the island, from the great evil endangering them - Makuta.
The mod will offer everything you would expect from a Bionicle mod for Skyrim: The completely free to explore island of Mata Nui, unique elemental powers for each Toa, masks of power and an epic quests to save the island!

I noticed that many of you asked the same questions, and not to respond to everyone, I will answer directly to most of them.
Seeing how they are many open questions about the mod you are all probably asking yourself, here is a FAQ to answer most of them.

  • Question: Are you going to do only the originial Toa Mata team and the island of Mata Nui or are you going to include as much content as possible?
    Answer: The development of a total conversion is very time consuming. As such, we have choosen the first year of Bionicle specifically, seeing how it seems to be the most obvious choice and the easiest to implement into Skyrim. While it is not currently planned to include other islands like Metru Nui, it may happen after we have reached our current goals. As such, there will also be no Bohrok or Rakshi in this mod, only content from the first year of Bionicle.
  • Question: How many Kanohi Masks will be available in this mod?
    Answer: We will atleast have all the 12 original masks from the first year of Bionicle, however, you can expect to see some variations and different masks in this mod, too!
  • Question: How will loot work? Can you pick up masks from slain Rahi?
    Answer: Loot will work like it does in Skyrim. When you see an item on a Rahi, you can take it from is corpse.
  • Question: According to the canon, Toa are not allowed to kill anyone. Will this be taken into account in this mod?
    Answer: Not entirely, no. For the sake of gameplay, Toa in this mod will kill Rahi just like the Dragonborn kills bandits in Skyrim. However, it has yet to be decided if the player will be allowed to kill matoran or turaga.
  • Question: Will this mod feature voice acting?
    Answer: We do not plan to implement traditional voice acting into this mod. We will, however, do voice "acting" In the style of hte unreleased game "Legend of Mata Nui" and the "Mata Nui Online Game", which means that instead of actual talking, you will hear mechanical sounds that somewhat resemble speech.
  • Question: When will this mod be released?
    Answer: Currently, the mod is still in early development stage, as such, the mod will be released when it is finished. We cannot provide a date for that, though. As for now, the Bionicle Weapons plugin is the only content from this mod that is publicly available.
  • Question: Do you take ideas from the Bionicle movies and the other Bionicle games into account for this mod?
    Answer: Yes, when it makes sense. You can be sure that this mod is created by loyal Bionicle fans that have been with Bionicle from the beginning.

Will be added new enemies like other Bionicles and everything what in this world exists? A new skill tree perhaps?
Anyway this mod would be a total satisfying Bionicle game in that Skyrim engine, if you can make that so detalied and actionful, exciting storyline with epic wars and many types of Bionicle models. Furthermore the characters should have for example transformation from basic figur to advanced stronger form by a skill or something like that.
I really like your idea!

1. Please read short article located above "Latest Video". There are many answers to your (and others) questions. And, yes, we planing to make Rahi as Toa's enemies.

3. Skyrim is RPG, that's why you can wear new armor and gain new abilities instead of transformation to another form.

Yes I have already read that. It would be a transformation like Werewolf in basic Skyrim, and with this method perhaps. For example from Toa Mata to Toa Nuva. Would it work? I think one character type what we can use is scarce in that Bionicle world :D

There will not be transformation from Toa Mata to Toa Nuva. As I said previously, you will just equip Nuva armor and mask to become Toa Nuva. Temporary transformations like Werewolf would work on Toa Hordika, but we DO NOT PLAN this for near future.

Ok understood! :) By the way is there a chance in the far future to add Bohrok or Rhakhsi into the mod as enemies? I've read everything above, but I just hope, because I love these rolling Bionicles. Other, will there be bosses?

I cannot wait! But what about soundtracks? I hope you will remove the annoying repeatitive skyrim soundtracks and replace them with bionicle/bionicle heroes sountracks... anyway, keep up the work!

Not a good idea, as it's content from other games. Plus the Heroes soundtrack is not atmospheric, it's actiony and can get very monotonous very quickly.

As for fixing some of the bugs? Like the secondary colour being grey when reloading a save? Thats the only bug I seem to get.
