Left Behind mod for Half-Life 2

The year is 2000. A fatal accident occurs in a test chamber in a Nevada research facility. Nothing is usual about this accident. Aliens arrive in through the Resonance Cascade and quickly overrun the scientists and their security. The US Army has been dispatched to clean it up and make sure word never leaves the facility. Everything went wrong, they miscalculated one scientist... Black Mesa was eventually destroyed, but it was too late, portals began opening around the globe.

People move into the cities, protected by soldiers and barbed wire fences, to escape the monsters. The outside of the major cities are barren wastelands that are very inhabitable for human life, due to the aliens. The armies of the world begin a slow task of cleansing the Xen fauna from Earth. It was a costly and long process. People continue their normal lives, protected by the soldiers. In the meanwhile, the Combine are preparing an invasion force, to conquer Earth in a quick surgical strike.

Four years after the Black Mesa incident; the Combine strike. Using synths, and other weapons, they utilized the portals to their advantages. As the Combine conquer each continent, they begin to assimilate human deoxyribonucleic acid, turning them into soldiers and slaves. Earth's forces are completely taken off guard, in the process of cleansing Xen fauna, they didn't expect a hostile advanced alien species. The remaining soldiers pulled back and entrenched themselves into the major metropolitans, waiting for the final push of the Combine attack...

This is where you come in, you are a pilot, ready to do some bombing runs, to destabilize the Combine's supply lines, this is a very risky task, most pilots never return... Something happened, a glitch in your jet fighter's computer equipment, bringing you to a crash landing in the middle of a North American metropolis. Your first thoughts are to reestablish contact with your NATO comrades, but that isn't an easy task. Behind the Combine main line, with deadly Insurgents not allied to anyone, Xen fauna inhabiting certain parts, and Zombies, it isn't an easy task.
