Mod Summary

The mod features 4 game modes:

Free Mode

Fortress Mode
Exploration Mode

Each mode is unique and features its own type of gameplay.

In the survival mode you will be dropped in one of the many locations throughout San Andreas where you will face endless waves of zombies. A wave contains around 20 zombies, each wave the zombies will get a little stronger. After 5 waves you'll get a refill for your basic weapons and after every 10th wave you'll get a more powerfull weapon like a sniper rifle or M4.

Free Mode

The free mode is by far the biggest part of the mod. Almost all hours of development have been dedicated to this mode. In the free mode you'll be able to explore San Andreas in the zombie apocalypse. You can choose to help out people, join factions, do missions or simply go shoot the hell out of some zombies!

Fortress Mode

The fortress mode requires the player to keep his or her leader alive. With the ability to place items around the area and purchase upgrades, the player has to keep his leader alive by fending of the incoming attacks. Build up a fortress and protect your leader and yourself against the zombie horde!

Exploration Mode

The latest addition to Left 4 Theft is the exploration mode. Fully powered by random encounters the player has to scavenge for food, salvage, items and weapons to stay alive and upgrade his camp. In the middle of the wildernis the player can encounter anything. Explore the area, build up a camp and stay alive as long as you can.

The mod starts with zombies and will end with zombies. This article will give you some information about the epilogue of the free mode.

First of all, yes I have been slacking the last couple of months. But it seems some people think I'm some sort of robot who is programmed only to work on this mod. I'm not doing this for anyone, I do this in my spare time and I do it for my own fun.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you something about the epilogue of the mod. The grand finale. The final missions will be faction mission and have some parallel with each other. I'm talking about one final mission for the army faction and one for the bandit faction. After the player finishes one of the missions, another final mission will be unlocked which will be the same for both factions.

Let me explain the parallel bit. Both missions will involve the main bases of both factions. The bandit side will start of with defending their main base. After this "objective" is completed the player will head to the main base of the army to attack it. The army side will start of with attacking the main base of the bandits. After this has been done the player will head to the main base of the army to defend it. As you can read, both missions start at the main base of the bandits and end at the main base of the army. Now let's move on to the true final mission.

Both of the missions end at the main army base (note that everything what happens after this will be the same for both factions!) When the missions end the area (army base) will be changed. Whenever the player is in the area, several groups of NPC's will spawn and move towards each other and engage in combat. The player can save his/her game in the area or start the final mission. The player can also leave the area and do other things.

The final mission consists out of two parts. First part is dealing with a threat which appeared in the final faction missions while the second part deals with the threat of zombies. As a reward upon completing the mission, you will receive a lot of weapons and money. I am not really sure yet about any open endings for any continuations of the mod. Still have to work those out.

I hope you guys are still enthusiastic about the final release. As I've already said, I am doing this entirely on my own (which I prefer) and I do this in my spare time so please give me a break and be patient. I can't say anything about release dates, but I want this to be flawless so people won't have to complain about bugs and stuff when I stop development after the next release. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

I'm sorry, but that's not possible. Perhaps I'll create a clothes changer script in the future for L4T.

After installation of this mod GTA SA crashes at the start of a new game right at the cutscene start. This I can understand its a mod and bugs happen. HOWEVER, I do have a serious issue with an install executable that does NOT have an uninstall feature. Basically once you install it you have to re-install GTASA; is this assumption correct? If so, again I can understand but a little warning or something stating this would be good.

Well, if you were smart enough to read the readme in the downloaded file you would have read the instruction to make a backup of your San Andreas directory so you can easily restore your SA to it's original state. I assume you did not read the readme, so try installing the mod by following the steps in the readme and try starting the game again.

WOW, okay... THX appreciated but I have a backup directory I used to over write the original so no worries. However an .exe install generally has an uninstall feature even in a mod. My bad for expecting something that has become the norm. Anyway I used my 2nd directory to fix it, which had I not done that (prior to reading the readme)would have meant a complete reinstall from disk. So I am smart enough to know one thing here. Most install .exe's create an uninstall feature otherwise they lose one of the main points in using them. Doesn't make me a genius but it doesn't mean I deserve that kind of response either..

Or you could just follow the read me file like everyone else? He created this install file to make it a hell of a lot easier for people to install and play with a few clicks instead of manually installing this mod which would take ages for non gta modders. You still find something to complain about. Jopper does't deserve that response and attitude either. Read the read me file with any mod and you will be fine. enjoy the mod.

Dude all I did was ask IF it would require me to reinstall or in this case rewrite from backup, and mention an install generally gives the impression of an uninstall feature. They usually come as a set. Which is half the reason one makes an installer in the first place. He got upset over it, now you are upset over it too? Seriously guys reread what I wrote. You may notice I was not overly critical or nitpicking I even said a few times i understood and that its a mod and all.. The attitude came from him and now you.. A new modder would have just as much of a hard time uninstalling as he would installing correct? An install makes it easier for people to enjoy the mod, and an uninstall feature makes it easier for people to remove it if they dont like it or if it creates a problem in their game.. One way help you to get your mod in use, and the other helps people who tried to use your mod fix it if it doesn't work. You can get as mad as you want, but its not something ridiculous nor is it nitpicking to ask about it or comment on it. As far as "enjoy the mod" I can't thats why i asked the question remember? And from the look of things I am not alone here. So see ya later, I don't think I deserved the responses I got here on this.
