Development for Last Man Standing 2 has begun!
I will have more on this but just wanted to mention that Standalone LMS is going to be happening in the near future on top of Platinum Arts Sandbox Free 3D Game Maker. This way too anyone can download it and play it instead of having to own Doom 3. Check out Sandbox sometime!

Last Man Standing Coop Mod is a Doom 3 Single Player and Multiplayer cooperative modification that aims to bring back the feel of the classic Dooms. Our LMS Mod gametype is survival in nature where you face swarms of attacking monsters to the adrenaline pumping energy of heavy metal soundtracks. We also fully support Cooperative play in the Single Player levels through the SP Coop gametype and the Doom 3 expansion pack ROE through the gametype ROE Coop. Also the Classic Doom for Doom 3 Mod has been integrated into LMS 4.0 to provide cooperative support! The monsters keep coming, and the bullets keep flying. Let the terror begin...

For all of you fine folks at moddb we have some awesome new screenshots for you to enjoy! The first two are concept art for the game, and the second two are concept screens of the upcoming trailer :)
Regarding our development plan we are planning on starting a Kickstarter project for the game when we have finished our trailer which we are expecting to have released in 1-2 weeks. From then on we expect to take about 8 months for development time. In addition to the story mode we are planning on doing some kickstarter exclusive zombie invasion maps where you try to see how long you can hold off against zombie waves! This is for my LMS fans ;D In addition if we reach certain funding thresholds we'll be adding new features such as a Mac build, coop, and potentially even release the source code so people can make their own commercial games. Chaosky you bring up an interesting point, I have thought about releasing the LMS soundtrack standalone. Currently it is in our lms3.pk4 under sounds/music if you want to get the ogg The songs name is neveragain. Take care and enjoy the mod :)

EquilibriBum, you can play the Doom 3 single player levels cooperatively as well, you just need to switch the gametype to SP Coop, either through create server, in the console if you are hosting you can type si_gametype SP Coop, or vote for it. Take care.

this mod is terrific and everything i like playing the classic doom but i want a mod that just lets the person play coopertive with some1 else because i dont think playing classic doom over might get old but then again this mod is great and i have nothing against it :)
