Lambda Wars (formerly Half-Life 2: Wars) brings the struggle between the human resistance and their Combine overlords to a multiplayer real-time strategy setting. The Lambda Wars beta only requires Alien Swarm installed to play. It features 3 multiplayer game modes: Sandbox, Annihilation and Overrun, showcasing the Rebels and Combine playable factions and a full-fledged RTS interface and HUD. There is also a singleplayer tutorial and a handful of singleplayer missions.

The fences say SST so much ;)
I would a suggest an option to place multiple tabs down by holding shift ingame, as it's common, so you don't have to click much for a line of fences.

"Crysis Wars" is not even remotely source-engine related, or remotely clever. Why would you post that?

@$n!p3r TF2 is not based around NPCs like Half-life 2. so that would be rather impossible.

You should use the actual shield model instead of the generator model.

Other than that, nice work.

Cough ... Black Mesa Source ... Cough ... HL:S Redux & HL:S Enhanced ... cough >>

Half Life 1 wars is entirely plaussible & rellevent. But it would have to focus around Black Mesa & New Mexico. The factions would be BM Personel/Lambda & XET team, USMC HECU, Black Ops, & Xen Aliens. Race X, Xen wild life, NM National Guard, & headcrabs/zombies would be better suited as bonus factions.

Just my opinion :/

The only problem I can find is the Combine Shields might be OP if their is no way to get past them.

Even if their was a special ability to disable them, how would you get rid of all of them if a player spammed a bunch of force fields in a row...

I guess they should be put automatically on certain Campaign Maps, and left at that unless we find a way to implement and balance those fences. Come to think of it actually, can people shoot and destroy them somehow? Antlion Guards should be able to topple them over, and explosives should also do the trick which just might balance them in Multiplayer somehow...

Well RPGs, Gauss guns, & Antlion acid should do the trick if they target the projection towers. their is also alyx's little hack tool that can disable them via an acsess point.

Also the combine wall only block organic objects so thus the rebels weapons can shoot through it just like the combine can. This is the way it works in normal HL2

Medic Station could provide a very slow health regeneration to friendly units within its proximity.

The combine wall can be constructed by Combine to obstruct pathability, but maybe still allow units to shoot through it?

Shows the combine forcefield and medic station. Not sure how they will be applied in the game yet :)
