Lambda Wars (formerly Half-Life 2: Wars) brings the struggle between the human resistance and their Combine overlords to a multiplayer real-time strategy setting. The Lambda Wars beta only requires Alien Swarm installed to play. It features 3 multiplayer game modes: Sandbox, Annihilation and Overrun, showcasing the Rebels and Combine playable factions and a full-fledged RTS interface and HUD. There is also a singleplayer tutorial and a handful of singleplayer missions.

I'm guessing that is a antlion Nest/barracks.
its a "Pheromone Marker resource point (which generates Antlion grubs)"
the antlion workers takes the grubs and takes it back to the base, then the grubs will be used as recources so you can make new units.
i also heard, not sure, but i heard that they are making it automaticly. so that you automaticle grab the grubs with some npc's auto-spawned from base.
They use them as a resource? huh.... I always thought they would be like zerg where they just coccoon into different types of antlion.
no.
its a car

Whoa.
Haha, reminds me of a honey-comb.
Mmmm... ME WANT HONEY COMB!

Not a news post, but definitely welcome... cannot wait for multiplayer!
There is a news post.
yay update, yay the new HL2 wars is gonna rock! especially the FPS take control of units option.
antlions = zerg??
(buried)
Jesus guys, its been 2 ******* years, when the **** is the next download coming?
When you stop swearing and when you read the latest news telling you when the next download is coming.
Wow rly theres gona be a take control of units from firstperson perspective O.o ive always wanted that in an rts THANK YOU
Great work! I love the updates, this is a good resource idea really fits in with that RTS atmosphere.
I don't know why people are getting all whooped about the honeycomb, If you paid any attention to half life 2 ep2, you would know that the HL2Wars dev team didn't make it... You see it on the antlion levels, and you are almost forced to look at it directly when the vortigaunts get that antlion extract stuff to revive Alex.
On a more important note, videos from (what I believe to be one of the beta testers not sander) can be found here https://www.youtube.com/user/Saner88 (Correct me if I am wrong however.)
And on a final note, "Pheromone Marker resource point", I did not know is what the honey comb was, but that is an excellent idea. The next update will be awesome.
PS, HI DISCRATE!
