Lambda Wars (formerly Half-Life 2: Wars) brings the struggle between the human resistance and their Combine overlords to a multiplayer real-time strategy setting. The Lambda Wars beta only requires Alien Swarm installed to play. It features 3 multiplayer game modes: Sandbox, Annihilation and Overrun, showcasing the Rebels and Combine playable factions and a full-fledged RTS interface and HUD. There is also a singleplayer tutorial and a handful of singleplayer missions.

New structures aside, the Combine now have a reworked unit! Meet the Riot Metrocop!
Cool idea! When the post trucks for Alliance (armored personnel carrier, the helicopter "Hunter", attack, air conveyor)?
Would be cool if their original design was different.
Those shields don't seem to protect the most important part, their head. There should probably be glass between the two sides at the very top, and maybe there should be small port-holes on the sides so that they can be much closer but still have guns able to peek out.
That is true, but those gas-masks seem decent head protection.
well the original beta versions of these guys used some kind of energy shielding so its safe to assume that something similar is being projected around said shield which is the power source.

Did you get this from Gausswerks form Deviant Art? Because I've seen this metrocop riot shield in his art work. I love his work! Please tell me you collaborated with him! Because that would be awesome!
Yes I asked Gausswerks for the permission to use his concept art.
Also there is glass, but because of our lightning engine, transparent objects do not render. I hope we will find a way to fix it.

it seems the combine have more choice of units to choose from in the original half life 2, are you gonna add new units to this game for the resistance??

- Metro Police Outlawed Units
They are from the Metro Police unit and was completely loyal to the combine regime until they betrayed them and left
them for dead when they decided to destroy the city with them in it. Angered, they joined the Resistance. Now all
their weapons, units, vehicles, technologies are available to the Resistance.
