Hello,

Firstly, thanks to everyone for once again voting L'Aigle into the Top 100! It's an honour and I hope you've voted again now that we've made the Top 100. Please do if you haven't (and assuming you see this before the fast-approaching deadline).

After more than three years in development, the singleplayer alpha for L'Aigle now has a release date, which can be seen in the new HD trailer. The trailer also shows off a variety of features and content in the mod, from the cities to the battlefields. A new map, hundreds of new items, new scenes, new sounds, new animations, new features and more are all set to appear in the upcoming alpha.

Thanks for watching the trailer. I look forward to releasing the mod more than anyone and I can't wait to have years of mine and others' hard work pay off and provide you with an in-depth recreation of Napoleonic Europe.

That's all for now.

Adieu.

"Hey, @PutinRF, any chance you could delay World War 3 until after Bannerlord comes out? Thanks." -- I like the idea that a poor analyst in the Kremlin was obligated to look up what Warband is because of this tweet.

And btw, there's a guy on the Taleworld forum who's saying the mod is dead. I predict some confusion so I'm just here to tell you he's full of ****.

For those who don't look at the Taleworld thread, he's just about done with all the models for the units absolutely necessary for the first release. Still has some officers and some others to model but other then that done.

i've been wondering about the release for awhile, game looks pretty amazing all around and was wondering if it had come out but just not here for some reason. i don't go on taleworlds, and im sure the dev team or guy is very busy, it shows. thank you for letting us who dont use taleworlds know about the point the overall game is at. can't wait to play it

i reckon one issue is the blatant fanboyism u see whenever anyone asks about a release date or how much of teh mod is completed. The amounts of times I've had to read "he doesn't owe you anything..." is ridiculous. I think it's reasonable to ask how a mod that was plausibly ready for release by the end of 2013 can't have a rough estimation of how much work has been done on it

just to clarify i really appreciate the work done by Docm, however, i don't think it is unreasonable to ask about how much of the mod is complete

I agree with you good sir, i'm a little worried this might be a con, just wanting peoples money. But i have hope, some actual...updates would be nice to have, instead of "Here is some uniform!" no offense but, a lot of them are starting to look the same here. but there are those that take years upon years to make, i hope he can make it, but don't go all Valve on us man

Yes, those few donations he's gotten was surely worth the massive work on all those new props, models, scripting etc. Get your ******* head out of your ***.

Yes because we all know that the point of making mods is to get paid. I don't care how hard you have to work on it; mod making has NEVER been about the pay. If it was, then sorry but Docm should just go ahead and develop his own game, which probably would have taken about as long anyway. So seriously get YOUR head out of YOUR ******* *** before you tell others to do the same.

No need to get angry, a lot of people out there are idiots and jerks when it comes to asking for money (Kickstarter has the biggest amount of them) i was not saying he IS conning people, i am just kind of worried that he is, i am really excited about the mod and i really like his work. i know modding is one of the hardest programming jobs out there (next to actually making a game) i was just voicing a tiny fear i have about this mod. I've been let down by mods before, weather they call dead or are just poor quality (not to mention that old Jedi Academy mod, can't remember the name but it was released many many years after his first release date if i remember correctly, and a TON of people paid for that) this guy is working hard on something difficult i know, that was just a tiny fear.

guys Docm30 is still working this mod. he's just rarely (or never) update this page. he still answer comments in Taleworlds forum. just want to say this, mod development is risky, you're basically developing a new module of a game yet you can't force anyone to pay but on the other hand, once your mod is completed, it can be a plus when you try to enter the industry
