'Lo,
L'Aigle now features bot-controlled artillery in the mod. This great feature was coded by the talented DrTomas (of 1257 AD fame). These guns and their crews can be recruited from castles and will also be used by AI lords. The crews will automatically load, aim and fire the guns and can be given basic firing commands.
Artillery was naturally a huge part of Napoleonic warfare, Napoleon's innovative use of which was one of the most important things that made his armies so successful for so many years. It adds significant new depth to the battles in the mod and force the player to make the potentially difficult of decision choose between engaging in an artillery duel, or attempting to silence the enemy's guns via an attack.
In these screenshots you'll see some French artillery (supported by a company of Fusiliers) battering an enemy force in submission. Naturally, every faction will have unique and historically-accurate artillery crews.
Over the next while I'll be posting some exclusive images of artillerists' uniforms on my twitter account, so check that out if it interests you.
Thanks for reading and following the mod!

There are Swiss and Scottish troops.
Ok and will you add Dutch VOC troops for navy?
I know this was asked before but I think it got no answer. Will you make the Spanish Army? It took a very important role in the Napoleonic era during the Peninsular War and Spanish Independance War (Battle of Bailén, first French defeat in open ground).
I have said before in the comments that the Peninsular War will be featured sometime after the first release. Naturally I can't have the Peninsular War without Spain.
For a list of all factions in the first release, head to the mod's Taleworlds thread Forums.taleworlds.com
In reality though the spanish army was weak, it was it's partisans that really defeated the French. The Spanish army won few victorys and was really of little concern to Napoleon.
Hmm you are not right... It is true that Spanish "guerrilleros" or partisans were crucial to the defeat of the French. However, the Spanish regular army, even though it was far weaker than the French army, achieved a major victory at Bailén, and made Napoleon himself come to Spain to personaly command the invasion. It was a turning point in the whole campaign.
Well yes true, it was a victory, but one of few, and it was not the sole cause for Napoleon coming to spain, the loss of Portugal was equally important. After this while the Spanish army had one or two triumphs over the French it has to be said that the spanish were militarily, politically, logistically and financially inferiour. You have to look at the war as a whole, not one single battle.
Of course we were inferior in almost every sense. Politically Spain was a disaster. My point was that these victories (not only one or two, though) had a very important outcome, both in the military field and the Spanish moral. Between June and December 1808 the French had to retreat up to the North, until the Grand Armée arrived, and then, of course, the Spanish troops found themselves in clear inferiority. Anyway, looking at the war as a whole, I guess we both think that without the English help, Portugal and Spain would have had a much longer french occupation. So... thank you Wellington!
How far do u think u r from finishing docm
