Straight to the point. After years of hard-work L'Aigle finally has a release. This is a singleplayer only open alpha for the time being and it is admittedly rough around the edges. Please bear the following things in mind:

It is a very early alpha and lacks items and various content, it has tons of repeated scenes, it has native quests and features, it has a general lack of polish and so forth. Please remember it's the very first version and thus very rough. Over the coming months the mod will get new items, new quests, new scenes, new features and much more.

L'Aigle Singleplayer Open Alpha 1.0

If you're not familiar with the mod or need a refresher, here is our latest trailer again:

The mod should be available from the 'downloads' section of this profile or one of the various mirrors that are going up soon. I'll update this news post as they are added.

Please read the description on the file and the read me contained within the .rar. I hope you enjoy the mod and I hope it gives you a taste of what's to come in the future.

Hmm... why no more donations? Isn't money always appreciated? Weird... I think that creator Docm30 is one and mostly thankful dude in moddb.

Please say that freelancer will be added in the future. Standing inbetween rows over rows of line infantry, and this moment when the commander orders to fire at will...perfect, it would just be so perfect. I really enjoy the mod, eventhough its rather hard to get into a battle early on. There are just so few bandit/outlaw parties strolling around.

Like I told Steiner90, I think Docm has his own idea going on about this. Don't expect to get Freelancer into this mod anytime soon. But we can expect something similar.

As for the bandits, there seems to be A LOT of them in Denmark and Russia. Maybe you should take a look over there! ;)

i think i have an issue, its really rare to fight an enemy army in the field, most of em just sitting in their castle or military depot doing nothing :/

edit : i found this issue after patch 1.1

Hey Docm30 do you guys thinking about adding Freelancer feature?

Fraztov Jan 12 2015, 8:20am replied:

Thankfully, no.

I'm not saying Freelancer is bad, but Docm has his own idea going on. And I think we should give him a chance! ;)
