Straight to the point. After years of hard-work L'Aigle finally has a release. This is a singleplayer only open alpha for the time being and it is admittedly rough around the edges. Please bear the following things in mind:

It is a very early alpha and lacks items and various content, it has tons of repeated scenes, it has native quests and features, it has a general lack of polish and so forth. Please remember it's the very first version and thus very rough. Over the coming months the mod will get new items, new quests, new scenes, new features and much more.

L'Aigle Singleplayer Open Alpha 1.0

If you're not familiar with the mod or need a refresher, here is our latest trailer again:

The mod should be available from the 'downloads' section of this profile or one of the various mirrors that are going up soon. I'll update this news post as they are added.

Please read the description on the file and the read me contained within the .rar. I hope you enjoy the mod and I hope it gives you a taste of what's to come in the future.

My British troops only wear greatcoats instead of redcoats. If possible can someone please tell me how I can change this?

Yeah, that happens with me too, it's really annoying.

You can download the Mount and blade warband troop editor and change the troops.

I think it changes due to weather in game (I'm not sure) I think this because they were all wearing red when it was sunny, and then when it started to rain, they all started to wear grey coats. It may be a complete coincidence. Wait until it becomes all sunny. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure. Maybe a option in later releases. Hope this helps a bit :D

It works through seasons... If it's winter, they'll wear greatcoats

Great mod, considering it's in alpha! I'm gonna report a glitch or two though, the ones that concern me. When me and my men fought a naval battle, the men could not move throughout the ship, and instead ran around hopelessly unable to move/board the other ship. Another glitch on the naval battles is the enemies "fleeing" when really all they did is run into the wall trying to get away.

So far the bugs that I found:

-British muskets with bayonets do 0 damage (the ones without them are ok)
-Some high tear prussian infantry does not have uniforms and weapons
-The quest abuse at the start of the game - when you can endlessly earn 50 coins
-Some of the highlander uniforms age bugged - invisible legs ect.
-Faction leader does not watn to promote me (I rekt about 15 armies and captured 6 standarts and I do belive one should get promoted for that)
-Some of the mercenaries are missing equipment and weapons.
-Everything glows wite after rain (or fog, maybe)
-Cant recruit standart bearers or special regimets (I tried the 95th rifles)
And just a suggestion: maybe make Sharp and Ducos be available at France and England only. I found Sharp in Moskov and Ducos in Bavaria.
