Straight to the point. After years of hard-work L'Aigle finally has a release. This is a singleplayer only open alpha for the time being and it is admittedly rough around the edges. Please bear the following things in mind:

It is a very early alpha and lacks items and various content, it has tons of repeated scenes, it has native quests and features, it has a general lack of polish and so forth. Please remember it's the very first version and thus very rough. Over the coming months the mod will get new items, new quests, new scenes, new features and much more.

L'Aigle Singleplayer Open Alpha 1.0

If you're not familiar with the mod or need a refresher, here is our latest trailer again:

The mod should be available from the 'downloads' section of this profile or one of the various mirrors that are going up soon. I'll update this news post as they are added.

Please read the description on the file and the read me contained within the .rar. I hope you enjoy the mod and I hope it gives you a taste of what's to come in the future.

Got runtime error c++ stuff when charging into battle. Still my first day on the mission to find a smuggler, but always gets runtime error when i click charge the enemy. Also happens if i want to play custom battle. Only happens when i run l'aigle. game runs fine with native and gekokujo.

So does anyone know why in some big battles the allies always attack instead of making formations? it seems to be a warband issue overall but surely theres a way to make sure they always use formations...(otherwise wtf is the formations mod for?) every big battle should involve formations unless its against some bandits or watever, just annoying really when 300 ally troops charge the enemy.

It is a problem that M&B and Warband has suffered off. It is not because of the mod but the game's original code and AI programming. Many mods try to fix the basic AI so that it isn't mentally handicapped but it is very hard to change such a big part of the game

Hmmmmmmm hey guys I am enjoying this mod so much. But occasionally there is crash due to RGL error? Any fixes? Never happened to other mods or vanilla warband

yeh ik its alpha and all that but when it rains without a single rain cloud in the sky it kinda ruins the already lacking immersion... small things that im sure will be fixed over time :)

Could it be that there is a bug or something? That recruiter is really elusive. I understand it is supposed to be on the streets of the capital city. I joined the brits and went to London and searched the streets but there was no cannon whatsoever(I understood the recruiter is near a cannon).

Is it because I was looking for him only at night? Does it have to be during the day?

Calapeace Jan 3 2015, 3:23am replied:

It is next to a cannon only in Paris. In other capitals it's a soldier in different uniform then the guards.

The guards in London wear grey coats, the only different solider I see is one dressed in some red, but he is the castle guard.

He is on the other side of the road near the corner in red coat.
