Straight to the point. After years of hard-work L'Aigle finally has a release. This is a singleplayer only open alpha for the time being and it is admittedly rough around the edges. Please bear the following things in mind:

It is a very early alpha and lacks items and various content, it has tons of repeated scenes, it has native quests and features, it has a general lack of polish and so forth. Please remember it's the very first version and thus very rough. Over the coming months the mod will get new items, new quests, new scenes, new features and much more.

L'Aigle Singleplayer Open Alpha 1.0

If you're not familiar with the mod or need a refresher, here is our latest trailer again:

The mod should be available from the 'downloads' section of this profile or one of the various mirrors that are going up soon. I'll update this news post as they are added.

Please read the description on the file and the read me contained within the .rar. I hope you enjoy the mod and I hope it gives you a taste of what's to come in the future.

Hello. Does anyone know exactly how the ranking system works? Is enlisting different than being an officer? Also, how does one rank up?
Edit: Once again, this mod is brilliant. Thank you very much, Docm

Well so far at the moment the only way to rank up is to buy ranks at the Military Depot, the lowest rank is like 13750 Francs, the only thing it really does is gives you access to NCO Uniforms so it's up to you if you want them.

Your Welcome! :) in the future there is going to be a rank up system I believe with asking for a promotion but again this is it so far.

I think that if you get enough renown you can rank up without a commission. You just have to talk to the ruler of the nation you are fighting for.

Apparently the Moddb upload got corrupted a second time. I don't know what's happening with this, but there are download links available at the L'Aigle forum here: Forums.taleworlds.com I'd also appreciate it if you posted bug reports there and not here. This comment section is no good for that.

A lot of things don't do damage when hitting, if you mean by musket fire then I'm kinda confused

Few more naval bugs to report, again, great mod! (These have been reported before! I am sharing my experience with the bugs)
1. I spawned twice on a ship in a forest area
2. Not a naval bug exactly, but the bayonets for British muskets won't work, bandits killed some of my men, while my men whipped their bayonets at them hopelessly

So, apparently there is gonna be navie sand ships..it'd explain the Sailor costumes and sea pistols...and the randomly occurring ship that happens when you start a battle, also it would explain how the **** your supposed to get from England to the rest of Europe

iCod Jan 1 2015, 8:13pm replied:

You can go from England to Europe now. Just literally click anywhere on Europe...are people really confused by this?
