Ranking system Thread - L'Aigle mod for Mount & Blade: Warband

Can anybody explain me how this ranking system works?
If I wanna buy some officer uniforms I must wait for getting higher rank..

You can purchase a commission from a regimental liaison at the military depot of your chosen faction. The regimental liaison is in the headquarters.
Keep in mind commissions are quite dear, for example the rank of major costs 65,000 Francs. That is the highest rank you can buy.

For a non commissioned officer or NCO like Corporal I'm not quite sure myself in the matter.

So the system's been working well for me, but I'm now a colonel for the United Kingdom, and I'm still wearing a lieutenant's uniform. The option for anything higher just isn't showing up in the Quartermaster menu. Is this the same for everyone? The higher rank uniforms must be in the game, because I can see them on the other NPCs. Is it just that they haven't been added to the quartermaster yet? Or are there only Lieutenant and General uniforms for officers? I checked the Rheinbund's military depot, and Lieutenant was the highest showing up there too. Obviously I understand that this is an alpha, I'd just like to know if I'm the only one.

Go to the ruler of the kingdom you serve, and ask for a promotion. In my case it is Emperor Napoleon I, as I am now a marshal of French Empire.
Maybe the liaison don't have the power to appoint commissions above lieutenants? He is only a liaison after all....
Oh and you can get really cool 'Officers' suits' when you have gained commissions above lieutenants. Just like what the other generals have, with a few bands and a big silvery badge to indicate that you are an officer. Really superlative. The suits can be bought from the infantry suits in the military depot, since you can't be a Dragoon general or Cuirassier general, so you would be expecting a drop of defense if you are wearing a cuirass.

Ah, forgive me, what I really meant was that there seem to be no uniforms between Lieutenant and General? Though thanks for the extra info.

So I've been reading the forums and I still don't know where to go for a promotion after I become a lieutenant. I've gone to the regimental liaison and my country's ruler (in this case Wilhelm III).

Pls help

The ranking system works on renown -

Every 50 you get a promotion

50 - Corporal

100 - Sergeant

150 - Sergeant-Major

200 - Lieutenant

etc

Or you can buy your way up to Lieutenant/Major.

I have 194 Renown but I can't find the option to ask for a promotion. Help please.

You go to the military depot and look for the gut to the right after walking forward. He has a special name and you can interact with him.

Maybe someone could answer this i am currently a Marshal, now i bought Lt. and worked my way up where is Marshal on the Ladder?

Marshal is the highest rank until king that u can get

Where is the military depot?

There is a Military Depot in every country. Just goto the one you have alliances in or if not just go to any of them, look under locations in the notes.
