News - Lacuna X Mod for Unreal Tournament 2004

Lacuna X is a Squad Based FPS that takes place roughly 170 years in the future. Earth has been at war for several years. The opposing force has developed a weapon unlike any ever seen. This weapon is promised to put a quick end to the war. Then everything goes wrong. The weapon malfunctions causing cataclysmic storms and violent climate changes ultimately rendering earth uninhabitable. The first phase of the mod is going to be multiplayer focused. The multiplayer will take place on earth shortly after the disasters as the remaining forces try to take hold of what little bit of earth is still inhabitable. Both factions are fighting to get all the resources they can before blasting away in search of a new home. The second phase of the mod will be a very in depth single player campaign covering the strife of one mans journey to save his son and return to his wife on the colony ship, while keeping guard of one of the greatest scientific finds in centuries.
