Kung Fu Evolution is my idea of the ultimate kung fu mod for mp2. After reading several hours of code from The Real World mp1 mod, i started implenting a similar system into MP2.

As title says: Report bugs you have encountered.
This will help me improve the mod with patches and keeps the comment section clean from bug reports etc.
It's easier to keep track of in here.

I found that the text in the dojo level is cut off at 1920x1080. As of now I have no clue how to do any special moves...Nice character models though. :)

Edit: Text is cut off on 1280x720 as well.
Edit: Found a bug on rooftops, I got caught inside vergils model.

hey i couldnt play club 2 w/o it crashing. just thought it was something u should know. awsome mod tho and loved playing as tao so far

also some of the animations repeat endlessly ( might be just me but still) when u do throws & etc

Just keep pressing use on the kf master and he'll tell you more.
I've fixed the text.

The stuck inside vergil is really something i can't fix as that has something to do with the finishers using death animations.

Fixed the club 2. I never had any problems with those levels so didnt check em before release, and it also happens it was just a file being renamed hehe.
What do you mean repeat endlessly? Does the animation loop endlessly?

i found some bugs man, when wolverine does an attack sometimes a weapon appears in his right hand, a crash when i try to change ingame character named boky i think, im going to report more when i get the download again :)... sorry for my english im from venezuela :P (yeah u have fans in latin america too xD)

ok i kno u wanna get this done and im unsure if this is a bug or not but when max does kungfu the weapon in his hand disappears completely ( from both his hand and the inventory)

Sorry this is not possible to fix as it will interfere with the combat system :) I tried this way back when the demo came out.
My initial thought was to remove original levels, but i thought some might enjoy playing them with kung fu. It's shit hard though :)

Also, can you remember what character has the loop on finishers?
Cause on my end nothing really happes the way you talked about :)

Hey Andersen I've suddenly had a problem..
When i started playing a mission and when its finish loading what i can only see is subtitles and hearing max talk and black screen can you pls help me what to do? :( :D

Every Mission in the normal max payne story except for the KFE Missions its fine but my problem is the one for max payne only it so dark and i can see subs and life bars only.. Someone already ask the same question but i didn't get to read it..So yeah pls help me mate what to do?

Some enemies don't attack (those wearing motorcycle helmets).
Also can't play Mona missions (pt2, ch4,5,6; pt3 ch5) because of error thas says:

Exception:
Animation "Sub_Painkillers" for c_subanimate not found from character "player".

Probably update your graphics card then mate. Or turn up brightness or whatever. i ahve no idea. it doesnt happen here and havent heard anything of it before :)

Woops to both :P Though i thought i did get them to work normal in the mp2 levels again.
Never really got around making a moveset for mona wich causes that error :P

First let me congratulate you for such an incredible effort doing this mod, this is a breath of fresh air in max payne 2 universe!!. im wondering if there is some way to disable all the animation parts in SP mode, in order to play through max payne history but without the missing animation error, when a mod character comes into scene.. also it would be good to have a keyboard shortcut/key that permits to switch between normal max and a specific mod character to bypass this, it would be desirable to script a message to inform the player that a movie comes and permits him to change the character to normal max before the animation starts. If anything of this is possible I would be happy to help i know some programming and well, thats all,

Well the bug is kinda avoidable, cause even if you switch to back to max the error will come. I think it has something to do with the male.txt gets loaded with male_player.h . and as soon as you switch to any other character the only thing loaded is his moveset, so the male.txt is stuck.

I have some ideas on how to fix it. But i'm still kind of dead from motivation on modding right now, but in time i'll look into it :)

If you're a programmer, you can try to look into the dll's of the game and see if you can find the page up and down switches and see if you can bind it something else.
