Ok, having just played through, there's actually one or two places where shooting is absolutely necessary for progression, but only map objects like switches, mines, etc. As far as shooting enemies is concerned, there's only one guy you absolutely NEED to shoot and that's only because he's out of reach and has to die for you to continue. Also, in Lupino's den, you MAY need to shoot the suits before Lupino comes out too. If you use Kung Fu, they don't trigger the next guys and you have to throw grenades up into their spawn area to start the flow up again.

I had no bugs in cutscenes like I've seen people mention, but I didn't kill Lupino, just his guards and that triggered the cutscene. Also, killing the trio's bodyguards trigger the the next events, not just the trio themselves. Apart from that though, no major glitches, so you should be able to play start to finish.

Couple of things to note though - Keep the quicksave key handy. You'll be using it a LOT. Also, I hope you like being frustrated, because that's how most of the game ends up. The engine doesn't handle the melee too well, so you can swing through people without effect, enemies will continue to shoot you while you're smacking them in the face, the kung fu randomly does high or low damage for no apparent reason (sometimes it's a one hit kill, other times you need 3 full combos), the slow-mo is meant to activate before a kill but instead it usually signifies a miss followed by your death, and if an enemy is higher or lower than you are, you're in trouble. You have to be on the same level as they are in order to hit them and if they're camping the top of some stairs, things can get... testy. Still, persistance and a healthy use of the rolls, wallruns and dodges can get you through the whole game with, as I said, only one enemy killed with a gun.

Flaws aside (they're mostly issues with the original game programming, not the mod), it's still the best MP mod out there.

The Kung Fu takes a little practice to get used to, but once you've got the idea of it, you can finish the game almost without firing a shot. The only places I had to use a gun were at the end, where you can't physically get to the things you need to shoot.

If you want to actually use the Kung Fu, load up the training dojo level first and spend some time in there. It never ends, but it does teach you how the combos work and how to regen your health through by cracking heads. The unkillable sparring partners also give you ample opportunity to practice with both the staff and your fists. Once you've got the hang of it, jump back into the regular game and open up a can!

Also, I don't remember having the glitches that you've mentioned. I may just have forgotten, but I thought I got through the game without any hassles. Oh well, reinstalling it now.

BTW how are you supposed to do the actual kung foo in this game? The juggling bodies and extra shootdodges made the game a lot better, but when I get a staff and a room full of baddies I get killed. I have to use guns. Help?

This is a fantastic mod that increased the playability of this game by a lot for me. But there are two spots in the game that make it so you can no longer advance through the game.

**SPOILER WARNING**

1. In the in-engine cutscene when Vinnie Gognitti goes to jump onto the train, Max shoots at him, but because of the 'juggling bodies' effect, Vinnie gets shot once and is juggled endlessly.

2. At the very end when Max reaches the roof, he turns the corner and for some reason starts shooting at the wall endlessly. He seems to be following someone in his shooting, i'm assuming Nicole Horne running to the chopper. He is able to see her through the wall for some reason. This glitch is obviously not present in the original game.

Other than that, the game is improved by an extreme amount by this mod. I thought this game to be very frustrating and hard before I found this mod. (I even found it easier to never use bullet time, just pop out and shoot, pop out and shoot, which was very dull.) Very good work.
