KotOR Cutscene Sound Improvement (KCSI) is a mod I stared almost a year ago. Basically, I wasn't satisfied with the choice of music for some of the cutscenes. Not the in-game scenes, but the ones that you could view from the main menu of KotOR. I decided to change the sounds of said cutscenes, as I do have sound editing experience. And here is the result. The current version is the culmination of all of my previous works, all of which are now lost in cyberspace, mixed in with a few new works. I worked VERY hard on each cutscene here, and I REALLY hope you enjoy these scenes. Oh, and I'm sorry for the lack of artwork with the header and the preview image. I'm running on screen shots of the mod right now. Lol. Also, I'm open to suggestions, and I will try my hardest to answer any questions posed to me. So, yeah. That's it. Enjoy!

This is for anyone who's downloaded KCSI. I would greatly love it if you could give me feedback as to what I should improve on in my next version. I will happily make improvements to the mod if necessary, as long as they improve the mod. Also, like I said before, I am open to suggestions from others, so go ahead. I hope you download the mod, and, as always, good day!

Well, this is my compiled work. Lots of different things, which are detailed in the ReadMe. This mod basically just changes music for certain cutscenes...

I registered to thank you for offering this mod. I would love to be able to replace all the music in the cutscenes, but this is a good start.

To install this mod, do you just drag it into the override folder and play the game? (I've never installed a mod on this game before) or do you have to unzip it first

How is this mod . . . legal? You're using music from the Star Wars soundtracks, right. Do you have permission to do so?

I like the new music, but my main concern is with how obviously artificial the echoes in the revelation cutscene. It just sounds too much like you copied and pasted the last couple words at different volumes. Other than that, great sound design.

This is an excellent mod and I want some more music like what you did with that Revelation cutscene. Wow, was that MUCH better then the original.

This mod replaces the original music from the game by the original musics from the movies ?

No, it takes certain cutscenes (the .BIK movies that look a little weird sometimes when played) and changes the music and sounds used on them.

I follow the instructions to install and i didn't notice changes. Why you didn't take the original musics from the movies ?

In the main menu, there is an option called "movies", which takes you to all of the pre-created movies that you've unlocked in the game. Not all of them are changed, and there are no gameplay changes. The background music will not change. The music in the pre-created movies will. If you installed the mod correctly, and you play the movie titled "Revelation", you will notice a different music track and a few other differences. A list of the cutscenes changed is in the ReadMe. Hope that helps.

Ah ok, so we can hear the new musics only if we launch the menu. It is not changing the musics in-game. That's it ?

No. When you are in a certain part of the game, say, the part where you (SPOILERS) rescue Bastila from the Black Vulkar gang, after that, when the screen fades, you will see a cutscene of Bastila fighting a dark jedi, defeating him, then preparing to duel Revan. That is one of the scenes I am talking about. If you play the new scene side-by-side to the old one, you will see differences in the music. If you have seen these scenes in game, they can be accessed at the main menu screen.
