Twenty years have passed since the defeat of the Sith at Telos IV. A New Jedi Order has risen to restore the Republic. However, even now, the galaxy is in shambles. Several organizations have taken this opportunity to make their claim on the galaxy. While the Republic is defended, the Outer Rim, and many other locations are unprotected and are torn apart by border wars. One such organization, the Epsilon Strikers, seek to restore the galaxy to it's former state. One new recruit, Eve, is now embarking on his first primary mission...
One of the most important aspects of the KOTOR trilogy is its characters. Ranging from noble Jedi Bastila, to dark war bitten Canderous, to the cocky Atton Rand, the variety and the personality is what always makes the characters so enjoyable.
For Dark Resurgence the main character, codenamed EPSILON V, had to be both one determined by the player, but at the same time become a separate character in him or herself. One thing that helped this was the decision to have EV voiced, if only partially.
Along with EV, are many returning characters as well as new ones. Characters such has the battle-hearted War-Hero Kelie Juan, to the noble but devastated Jedi Knight Ranix K’har. The story is character-driven and making interesting characters is important.
Since the game is centered on him, massive amount of time must be given to the development of EV. The first thing we did was replace the Light Side/Dark Side system with a Noble/Ruthless system. In the star wars universe light and dark are representations of good and evil. And although you will still have some very dark actions, we wanted to approach this game from of Mass Effect perspective. What matters is not you goal but how you achieve it. You are fighting against the sith no matter what, and what’s important is how you stop them, not who you stop.
To give a mix of player customization to a prewritten character, EV has three different backgrounds in addition to the three classes (Adept, Commando, Specialist). From those backgrounds you can build a character that feels as reel as any other.
Release Date - When It's Done
Hey sorry for being inactive. It is with great sadness that I must report my an unfortunate turn of events. My computer had a major hardware failure, and most of my data was lost. On top of that, due to personal reasons, I have been involved on another project that has been taking up most of my time. As such, I won't be working on Dark Resurgence in the near future. This page with still stay as I hope to give this project CPR at some point.
I still have several plot ideas that I plan to use, but for now I will not be active. As such, all members of my writing team can end their work. I'm truly sorry about this, and I thank everyone who put up with my frustrations. The passion that people have for this series even after all these years is truly inspiring, and I look forward to seeing the completion of future projects. I only regret I cannot be there with you all. Best of Luck to all of you.
