Hello all,
            I know things have been somewhat quiet on here, but work has been continuing in the background, little tweaks here and there, bug fixes etc. Also, I have finally gotten around to the 6 or 8 hours of sweat and toil it takes to fully integrate a new race.

The final race in KA2: Empire at War is the Lyran Star Kingdom. I've had to change the existing Lyran ships around a fair bit to make them fit for a fully playable race. For example. I have added a new secondary weapon type, unusual in the fact that it is a beam weapon not a torpedo or ordnance based weapon. This new weapon is the Mauler Cannon, a familiar name to those who play SFB. This Mauler is not quite as powerful however, but it is a close match for a Medium or Heavy Plasma Torpedo. Similar to the Hydrans, who also master the "knife fight", Lyran ships are all about close range combat. They have no real long range supporting fire, other than cruise missiles for specialist work; they are intended to quickly close with an enemy and rip them to shreds with point blank disruptor and beam weapon fire.

I am currently working on the AI and Manual Addons for the Lyrans, but in the mean time I have posted a screenshot of them in action, showing the new GUI for them and so forth. I will keep you updated as we get closer to V.1.3 release :)

I really like this mod. Feels more strategical and tactical that the other mods(Except fleet ops). In Most other mods its spamming and rushing, but in this its more : construct fortified base, build small to medium sized fleets, use tactics to maximize damage on the enemy. Really enjoy and like the mod.

I also wanted to know, will the Campaign specific units( saw them in map editor) be buildable in the Empire at war, as I haven't played the campaign yet, or they will never be added to buildable list?(Will have to do it myself :D)

Some are buildable, some are not :) The ones for the main sides are (except Federation Reserve Fleet, unless you capture a Reserve Fleet Starbase map unit).

I am glad this mod is not dead. i cant wait for this to come back better than ever. i love the new lighting for the Romulans especially the centurion very sexy (my primary battle unit forgot the other). the federation got a nice overhaul as well. it actually makes me want to play the federation. there is 2 things:
1. when i play feds it crashes if i do the fed rush to capital ships.
2. when i played Romulan i could not colonize a planet.

but those were on the old 1 so hopefully those issues are fixed.

Both issues fixed :) The not rushing to capitals sounds like it was an AI bug in your opponent. No more of those AFAIK. The Romulans not being able to colonise was because for some reason the Sparrow lacked hardpoints. This has been fixed along with a plethora of other bugs :)

Hi, why is it that i cannot play skirmish or missions?
When i do this i get a CTD.
And i followed the install instructions given by your installer on what files to copy from an original Armada2 install.
Also with the KA2 patch installed i still get a CTD.
I am running windows 7 and have a NVIDIA GTX 275 installed and a dual core processor.

Is there anyone who knows a sollution to the problem?

Also if you make a manual in the future, i suggest you just make .txt file because i can't copy the 2 fonts in my fonts directory under windows.
This is beginning to get very frustrating.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Clearly you haven't followed the instructions properly. I've verified that this installer works (in fact, used it to repair my own installation when I upgraded to Windows 7). I am also puzzled as to why you're unable to install fonts...
