Firstly I'd like to sincerely apologize to everyone who was waiting on the 19h of Feb release date that we stated before, but, as I am going to try and explain, hopefully you will agree, as we do, that this delay is necessary.
Before you get too upset about the delay, know that it is only 3 weeks we're pushing the date back: to the 12th of March.
OK, now, onto the reason for the delay. As eager as we are to simply release the game and have it out there in the open, we've decided that we have put in too much work into KC up until this point to release it now when there are so few people waiting for it. In the interest of having a bigger, more fun game when it's first launched, we want to spend the next three weeks doing all that we can to try and get more people on board. We want to see as many servers full of people enjoying our work as possible, and as it stands, if we where to release on the 19th, there's no guaranteeing we would see any dedicated servers up.
So if you are someone who is disappointed by this delay, then we would encourage you to help us out now in spreading the word. We need our current community members to get their friends excited about this mod too, and hopefully, come March 12th, we can all have a real blast of a launch!
Ahh! Bad news :( But I understand your point of view. That's probably something that all players want! We don't want you to release the beta and then wait for scheduled events to play with more than 3 people.
And I have already started spreading the word! :D

I can understand this delay, even tough a beta is a good way to make people interested in your work. Eagerly waiting for the beta. :)

I have a 200 member clan waiting for this, and we were excited to play it over Feb vacation, and now you delay it for PUBLICITY reasons?
In all honesty mod team, this is a free HL2 mod. There is hundreds of them. This mod already has more support than almost any other one out there right now, but by delaying it all you are doing his hurting your community. By saying that you are delaying your release in order to get a bigger following for the game, you are basically just telling us fans who have been waiting eagerly that we are not good enough. It does not help that you released this information last minute to the community. And anyways, the only way you can get a community to grow for a HL2 mod like this one is for people to play it.
Not my decision, not my mod, but unless there are some technical issues or more work that has to be done to the game, delaying it's release for publicity is a bad idea.
Great mod though guys, awesome work, can't wait to play it (hopefully tommorow).
I'm going to end up forgetting about this mod up until March guys.
The best way to get publicity is to have the mod out. People make threads all over the mod community whenever a mod is released. If the mod is good enough and well presented the publicity is all automatic from there. I can't be for certain, but you may have hurt yourselves by making a sudden delay.
I got to agree with Xendrid, I came here because i remembered it was febuary 18th and I come here and its delayed. I'm really disappointed and have to wait another month.

I agree with Xendrid because i know that Moddb would put up an ad on the front page and from the comments above with a 200 member clan waiting i think there would be plenty of servers/players

hehe that was my gut feeling i was going to check on the mod and then i thought do myself " i bet it has been delayed." and ironically it was.
This is disappointing, they pushed it back because they thought not enough people would play it? This will only lose more people, I myself will most likely forget about this mod by march.
