Killing Floor 2.5

Killing Floor is a survival horror total conversion set in London, England.
In a laboratory under the city, a series of human experiments in cloning and biological augmentation are being conducted by the employees of "Horizon". Horizon is a BioTech corporation formerly employed by the government to do the R&D on a top secret series of synthetic combat drugs which would enhance the effectiveness of soldiers in the field.
Horizon's funding was cut, when their practices were deemed too immoral even for such a controversial project, but the research didn't stop. Funded by private money from the deep pockets of Horizon chairman and research scientist Kevin Clalemay, tests continued in a more...private location.
That was until something went wrong. There were reports that the lab had been comprimised; that the subjects were behaving abnormally...then, silence.
Several days later, twisted shapes began to emerge from the confines of the lab into the city above.

Here it is - blood sweat and selective filming. An ode to violence. The official video trailer for Killing Floor's second release.
The majority of this footage was taken during an actual on-line beta test of the mod, which involved myself and 3 of the mod's devoted fans :)
Enjoy! And stay tuned for the big release. It's not very far off now. If you haven't yet joined the forums, now is a good time.

2.5 Map Fixes by Nickq2007 Files.filefront.com
this should fix any problem, if when trying to load 2.11 maps!
Well now that I've played it for a bit I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed. The clots becoming boat anchors really ruins the flow of the game and removes some of adrenal kick that frantically escaping provides. Now when a clot's got me I just give up and wait for the next map unless he's alone or has only 1 or 2 buddies around. The "new" aiming system is also a tremendous let-down since it renders the dual 9mm's and the handcannon nearly useless and makes the bullpup feel like the person wielding it is a malnourished 9 year old. If ever there was a time when this game needed a crosshair this is it, though i'm not sure it'd do a whole hell of a lot of good since the firing is so predictable.
All in all, a very polished release that just lost a hell of a lot of the fun factor that the previous releases had. I'm also not sure why the player always moves so damn slow, but I've always had that uncertainty as far as KF is concerned. I guess there are some times everyone decides they're tired of fighting for their lives and hit the Nyquil in massive doses.
sounds like someone ended up zed-chow, and is taking it personally...
Learn to bring them down with a quick headshot, when they get a hold of you. Even with the default 9mm , a single successful headshot will "detach" you from the clot. Or if you have a knife out, one quick slice will stun it for a half second allowing you to escape. Things get fruitier, clearly , when you're surrounded.. but that's the whole idea. Dont let it get that bad.
Shame you dont find it fun, but I (and most of the people ive played it with seem to) . i guess it just takes different tactics than before, because as you've noticed -> you cant just bait clots anymore and use them as easy cash cows.
Turning the difficulty down helped a LOT. I have a great deal of respect for you as a developer and I can't begin to show you how much I appreciate your hard work but please don't assume that I've taken things personally, I'm just giving first impressions. These happen to be a comparison to a previous version which had drawn me like an addict to white rocks. Upon playing for a good 2 hours straight with my roommate I'm beginning to grow accustomed to the changes and they don't seem nearly as disappointing as they first did.
All in all I have the same gripes about player speed and balls for accuracy with many other games and it'd be unfair to vent it all on Killing Floor, so please take my previous comment with a grain of salt. And even with the gripes I do have I would under no circumstances deny that this is one of the most atmospheric, polished and just plain gorgeous mods I've laid eyes on. The quality of the experience easily rivals many commercial games, and I applaud you for it. I hope you eventually find a publisher for this game and start raking in the cash that you deserve. :)
I'll also add that I absolutely love the perk system. A beautiful addition and I hope you add a "Blood Opera" perk with focus on dual 9mm's. ;)
