Killing Floor is a survival horror total conversion set in London, England.
In a laboratory under the city, a series of human experiments in cloning and biological augmentation are being conducted by the employees of "Horizon". Horizon is a BioTech corporation formerly employed by the government to do the R&D on a top secret series of synthetic combat drugs which would enhance the effectiveness of soldiers in the field.
Horizon's funding was cut, when their practices were deemed too immoral even for such a controversial project, but the research didn't stop. Funded by private money from the deep pockets of Horizon chairman and research scientist Kevin Clalemay, tests continued in a more...private location.
That was until something went wrong. There were reports that the lab had been comprimised; that the subjects were behaving abnormally...then, silence.
Several days later, twisted shapes began to emerge from the confines of the lab into the city above.

- Solo game mode for offline play
- Watch those crucial and violent creature deaths in slomo "ZEDtime", even in multiplayer

- 12+ weapons for the players to chose from, ranging from knives and fire-axes up to pump shotguns, rifles and a flamethrower

- Persistent Perks system, allowing players to convert their in-game achievements into permanent improvements to their character's skills and abilities
- Players choose which Perks to play with, so they can best balance out a co-op team to survive the horrors
- Open, non-linear play areas: choose when and where to fight - or run; weld doors closed to try and direct the monster horde
- Full support for Steamworks features, including Steam Achievements and Friends
- Fully-configurable, allowing players to change things as simple as the difficulty level or number of creature waves, or go so far as to set up their own favorite waves of monsters
- Includes SDK for the creation of new levels and mods
Killing Floor is now going to be a standalone game! Congrats to Alex AKA Mr. Kadish on taking his baby to retail! VE3D also has an article up with some screens. As soon as Alex is done "celebrating", I'm told we can expect an official Killing Floor game profile here on ModDB. Another win for modders!

Hi RPDUmbrellaSTARS Here, Who is your Killing Floor player/ players of the year? As I have played with some of the best KF players ever on this mod! Such ppl as Sinking, Fleshfeast, zombiebutcher, and so on!!!!. My players of the year would be Sinking good support and allround great gunner, Fleshfeast ( great use of Crossbow and good tactical player), (oups), TheMainMan and few more but thou forgot their names!!!!!!
i have the latest patch (2.01) but i have connection problems anyway, the screen stays black but it doesn t load anything. there are some spectator bugs too. great mod btw !! :)
The thing (black screens, unresponsive loading) with connecting to servers seems to be a version mismatch.
Don't forget to download the patch from their website (v 2.01), that should solve everyone's problems. I don't understand why there's no mention of the patch here, it took me a while to figure out.
sup everyone yah i used to play this game its sweet i put my vote in but i wish someone would find a solution for the problem thats been happening to everyone where u just cant join a server thats how people lose interest so plz fix i wanna play again

Will you make a support for Red Orchestra: Ostfront, like Defence Alliance 2 team did? Cause it would be cool(mostly cause i don't have UT2004) :D

Cant start either of them, tried starting KF before installing KF20 as well, get crap messages about the ut2004.exe file doesnt exist etc.
Anyways im mainly looking to play the single player so anybody know anything? Mods looks awesome so it would be sweet to get to try it.

I wonder why it works for you. I actually did just that install from the KF-Wiki, before I posted my previous comment. Also I have installed Kf several times before on my own and on friends computers. So I don't really have problems getting it installed and until a couple of months I coudl always join most servers. (some of them never worked in the first place)
I really wish some kind of patch would end the inability to join a server, as this is very frustrating and probably keeps a lot of people from trying it out after the tenth time or so. Can anyone imagine what might cause the problem at all? To me it looks like the server is shown in the browser, but can't be joined.
Please get rid of the connection bug someday soon. KF2 is such an awesome game and has nice people playing it. It just has to survive.
