Well god knows it's been a long time coming.
To settle any obvious questions:
- Yes, Killing Floor is still being developed.
- No, there will not be a bugfix or incremental patch until
the second release.
- Yes I am still the only person working on the mod.
- And Yes it will blow your bleepin' mind how much better it's gotten since 1.0.
I've overhauled or modified alot of the gameplay mechanics to move Killing Floor away from being just a mindless
Serious Sam style coop zombie blaster to being a really strategic, tense, tough-as-hell online team experience.
Let's begin with the HUD. The image should speak for itself.
There has also been alot of changes made to the zombies themselves. The Soldier zombie, to illustrate one example, now carries a shotgun and fires at you wildly (if you're at distance)... Yikes
I have also taken the time to enhance all of the Gore and Effects in KF....so when a grenade goes off nearby...you'll KNOW it!
But What's truly NEW you ask? New guns? new Gadgets? New Maps? In a word... (or 3 ) yes yes and yes.
Here are some of the new gadgets you guys get to use.
So there you have it folks, that's the majority of the new stuff that's been done thus far for the second release. The maps themselves are ALL getting huge makeovers and expanding in size. (in the case of KF-Manor the makeover is more like a full frontal lobotomy and a body transplant...but you'll see ;) )
