Heavily influenced by popular Japanese Anime and recent movies such as Kill Bill; Katana combines Max Payne's stylish Bullet-Time with stunning, yet brutal, bladed-weapon combat. Developed by Maddieman and StratonAce, with help and support from Kenneth Yeung, Katana lifts the Max Payne engine to new heights and takes the player to new levels of pain.

Sorry about the delay folks, Katana is nearly done -- just a few animations and last minute checks and I think we're there. Sorry about the delay folks, Katana is nearly done -- just a few animations and last minute checks and I think we're there. We're looking at a week, maybe two; unless there's a major setback (Strat wants to beat HL2 to the punch).

In the meantime, StratonAce has kindly written a few tidbits about the Katana universe and some of the technology that will be featured in the mod. Furthermore, with permission from Kenneth Yeung, I've updated his Max Payne: Kung Fu Edition manual, detailing some of the new additional features and moves in Katana.

Finally, for those of you in the USA who missed the PC Gamer UK article on Katana; you'll find that it has been reprinted in the October edition; so keep your eyes open for that.

Anyway, the bulk of the update is on our site, so by all means, feel free to check out the new content.
