This is a personal project, adding content from the Battletech universe into the Crysis engine. At this time I have no release date or plan as of such. This is simply a demonstration at this time which I plan to add to now and then.
Alright the summary above seems not to get noticed by everyone. Must be the pictures under it distracting everyone. As of right now I don't have plans to make this a complete mod of any kind, for Crysis or any other game. Which doesn't specifically mean it couldn't happen, or this particular model might not end up in a mod somewhere. Just that at this moment I'm not building an entire mod.
I do wish the best of luck to current mod projects using the Mechwarrior property though. I do agree though that a single player experience would be nice once again. AT this point though I thinkn what I would like to see if a Mechwarrior game that believed in the combined arms aspect of Battletech ever since Citytech 1st edition. Then I think I'd like it to be a first person game, not just a simulator for make-believe machines. I mean in MW2, we got no real story to hold onto. In MW3 we got mission loading screen chatter. Lets not forget MW4's amazing, story told through people talking to tiny cameras. Totaly amazing that last one. I'm going out on a limb here but I think Mechassault2's in game character scenes were far better then anything the MW games have tried. Of course the idea of the Wolf Dragoons being run by 3 people just like GI Joe and the bulk of the story were entirely insane. Insaine yes, very much so, I still have no idea how they wrote it. The idea of seeing the characters like that though wasn't a bad idea, nor was letting you exit your mech. Though that game had other short comings, to many to list. I still think Battletech's rich could make for a great story when told from the eyes of a person.
Of course I would include vehicles, tanks, aircraft, mechs, etc too. It wouldn't be Battletech without those in there too.
