After extensive playtesting and feedback on our official server, Kanonball v1.01 is now available for download! This is a server-side patch only, so only server-ops need to download and install it. Regular Kanonball clients will get the patch benefits from joining the updated v1.01 servers. If you host LAN or listenserver games, you will want to download and install this patch.
Here's the changelog:
- Fixed the server crash.
- Lowered the Spectator queue on the spwning grid (the thing you all get stuck in when trying to choose a team/class/spawn) time. Players now have 9 seconds to choose before the opporunity is up and the next player in the queue gets their chance.
- Removed the ball up delay at the beginning of game to smooth out game play.
- Fixed the crash where the timelimit would go to 0 and the map wouldn't change and if you joined you couldn't play.
- Made the Kanonball move more accurate.
- Made pass slightly more powerful.
- Air tackle now works.
- Players no longer hit invisible entities at spawn points.
- Removed some uneccessary server operations that caused lag.

keep this mod alive and server i will play it when i get home and downlad it first thng
Its been awhile since I've played this mod, but I really liked it. Wanted to get back into, but it appears the mod has died? I'd like to bring this mod back to life, so I'm running a server on a spare computer in my room. I can't guarantee it will always be up but ill keep it up as much as possible if people start to actually play on it. So far, not one person has joined the server except for myself. I'll give it a few more days, but if their remains no activity, im going to shut it down.

This game is great, and I'm not kidding. I learned that just by playing with myself for a few minutes. No one plays this great mod, Ill have to find someway to get it "undead" :P
Anyways, basically your a guy and you run around trying to get the ball and through it into a little circle, sound easy huh? No, you have guys tackling you from 4 directions (Front, Back, Left, Right), but you can counter-attack by dive, back flippin', or lunging from side to side. The concept of this game is pure genius.
This doesn't deserve to die.
Ok i installed this mod under Steam, and there a no, not even 1, servers online!!

to tell you that doesnt work you need to get two-degrees and dl it from there, otherwise you get screen saver,various mods are like that.
im confused. when i dled it and tried to unzip it, it said all that was in the file were screen savers. what happened?
Hehe :). I still remember the very first release of this MOD (not the one a few weeks ago..More like years). Twas fun, but crashed frequently. Glad to see its coming back!
