Based on the novel and film of the same name.

Play as,

  1. Alan Grant
  2. Ellie Sattler
  3. Ian Malcolm
  4. Robert Muldoon

It is August 1993, and you're trapped on Isla Nublar.
Upon reaching The Main Compound, you must restore power and control to the facility, rescue others, and finally call for help and escape.
This is achieved through puzzle based gameplay, some of which relies on team work.

You will face a couple of foes along the way;

  1. The vicious and intelligent Velociraptor
  2. The venomous Dilophosaurus
  3. The pesky Compsognathus
  4. The ferocious T-rex

Some of your foes may be not be living, like a dangerous electrical death trap.

The Main Compound will feature,
The Visitors Center (interior), The Raptor Pen, Safari Lodge, and other facilities, with beautiful outdoor jungle.

Crytek stopped patching Crysis at 1.2.

They were supposed to continue patching, with 1.3
BUT they decided they didn't have to gurantee the quality product we purchased, and decided to basically abandon any more major patches I guess, and instead make us pay for 1.3 by purchasing another stand-alone game on CE2.. called Warhead.

Warhead was patched after it's release, with the release of the SDK for warhead/wars IF I am not mistaken, which is 1.4
So yes I think it is pretty obvious that if you spent $50 on Warhead, you basically paid for patch 1.3, with a "new campaign" which trust me was not anywhere near the cost of creating the engine.

I think it was dishonest and fraud like, but they claim they had to because of piracy... however if you read articles about EA and Crytek's spending and finances in reference to CryEngine 2/Crysis 1... I think it is obvious piracy is at minimum, only half the issue... but I'd argue its really not significant in comparison.

I know if that excuse is used again, its bull.. since they didnt spend even half what they did developing CE2, and made a second $50 sale per customer.. and released on steam minimizing piracy.

Anyway, thats why it is Crysis Wars.

Look guys, you should feel happy, chris and the team could've just left you with no mod at all, but they've been very kind, so back off yeah. They've tried there best, what would you rather have a co-op Jp mod, or no Jp mod at all. i know what i would go for.So, I am still getting Crysis, just for the modifications. but im not sure which computer would run crysis well, (im getting a new one for Christmas) does anyone know a good computer type for me please?

Goodluck team.

Make sure you get Crysis Wars, which comes free with Crysis Warhead.
$30 on Steam.

It is what we are using. It is an updated version of Crysis.
They stopped patching Crysis after 1.2, and only patch Warhead/Wars now, apparently.

It was something I was very pissed with Crytek about but anyway, we have to use it because the old SDK/editor is buggy as shit.

Crashes all the time.

Same engine really, just better optimization, and maybe better looking but I really don't notice. :P

My idea of a great JP game/mod is single player only sorry. Co-op for me just takes away the tension and atmosphere of a game, case in point RE5 and L4D.
