Visitor Center Structure.
Jan 14, 2008 Demo 20 commentsBeta 0.01 from 2005. Contains the Visitor Center structure and human characters. No living dinosaurs in this release.
In this adventure, you are Robert Muldoon, the person in charge of the safety of the park. The game will proceed in a relatively linear but intense way with Resident Evil inspired management of the stress.
Because of obvious reasons, we won't give out lots of details about the storyline, but it will have enough surprises to provide bunch of action and also situations that require reflection.
We allowed ourselves to change and include some miscellaneous new things compared to the original story, in order to intensify the gaming experience; we looked at the gaming aspect and at the same time worked on make the levels, characters, events recognizable... make parallels between the original storyline and the modification one, and get the feeling of reviving some movies moments.
Actually it will be like a side story which includes several scenes from the original film. The story plays out at the timeframe seen in the first movie.
Biotechnology society InGen, created and lead by the rich american John Parker Hammond, built a park on a Costa Rican bay island, Isla Nublar, called "Jurassic park". This park is somewhat special as it allows fortunate people to see real live dinosaurs, created from a combination of genetic manipulations and dinosaur blood found in fossilized amber.
Due to recent incidents in the park, InGen investors start to worry, and demand that the park calls in specialists before it's opened to the public. Thus, after long negotiations, paleontologist Alan Grant, paleobotanist Ellie Sattler and mathematician Ian Malcolm are sent to the island for the week end, with lawyer Donald Gennaro, who represents Hammond investors, in order to investigate the incidents. The visit starts out well, park systems work fine so far and everybody is amazed by seeing the first dinosaurs. Robert Muldoon (you!!) is checking the park an system security...
But some unexpected things are happening in the meantime: InGen's biggest competitor, Biosyn industries, wishes to obtain Hammonds technology; Biosyn's main advisor Lewis Dogson contacts the extremely qualified programmer Dennis Nedry, who programmed the entire Jurassic Park system, and gives him an opportunity: in exchange of a huge amount of money, Nedry would steal a few InGen's embryo and deliver these to Biosyn. Unfortunately, Nedry decides to start his business this week-end.
Furthermore, a violent tropical storm moves over the island, power is lost, visitors are stuck and the dinosaurs start to escape from their enclosures...

Good day to everyone in this new year. We hope you had great holidays and had a good time on any new years eve celebration you may have attended. We know though that not all celebrate in the traditional way, I myself (taurus) worked nighttime at the factory, and I'm sure there are some that did that too or simply just stayed at home gaming as the clock ticked by 00:00. Whatever floats your boat we still wish you a happy new year :D
So what more can we say? I suppose I could mention that we have some news to show too? I think you agree it's time for that :)
First out we have a few lab models. An stereo microscope, with an cold light unit (seen in larger preview).
Our second model is an egg crib.
The famous embryo cold strage tanks. It's still a work in progress. I must add more detail to the texture and make some tweaks. This one is already animated . Btw, all models in this entire newspost are created by me (taurus). Promise of models from Redeyes have been made for next news!
Leaving the lab we march out into the bush and find a fence. This one is one that keeps the somewhat smaller sized dinosaurs, like the Dilophosaurus, away from your children.
Something that also keeps dinosaurs on safe distance, at least the small and medium sized ones, is the Taser. Zapp! Zapp!
The last thing we have to show this time is a walk cycle I created for the T-rex. I recorded this from HLMV, so it's what you'll see ingame. I had to animate this in XSI and it's my first encounter with animation ever in this program so I hope you are not to hard on me. :o
We continuously try to find recruits to the project and have at least two new members for the time. SIR_halyavshik who will be our helping hand in mapping apart from what I do in this area. Jacob Hilboldt aka Jakeh111 is another new member we are getting help from, but in the sound department. He will be creating various sound effects we will need. Also we have continuously spoken to other potential recruits but we can't definitively say they are members at this time.

please make a mod jurassic park 1
i am a real fan of jurassic park 1 2 and 3
This mod is still alive, no worries, i'd suggest you read my latest newspost!
Jorn.
Muldooon living in the book and dieing in the film is a bit strange
But not as strange as Ian Malcom DIEING in the first book, then strangely becoming ALIVE again for the second book, nevermind the film
Is this alive?
waitin. when this mod will be come out
Actually, the french site is Servergamers.com Go check out the map shots, they are sure to give Jurassic Park fans goosebumps.
The site seems to be down at the moment, but the shots that were up there before were simply incredible.
But like others have said, it might be a good idea to avoid calling too much attention to yourselves. Universal has shut down several Jurassic Park mods in the past for stealing their intellectual property and using it without permission.
Did you guys know that although Muldoon dies in the movie, he lives in the book? Go figure.
This mod looks simply great *qwerty watches mod*
For your sakes I hope this mod doesn't get noticed, if Universal find you're doing a JP based mod you want last long enough to say "deoxyribonucleic acid" (DNA)
some good work though. :)
