A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Jedi: Timeline Starting 25,000 years before “Episode 4 ‘A New Hope” The Old Republic is formed among the Core Worlds and Jedi Knights first appear. 5,000 years later a large number of Jedi Knights are expelled from the Old Republic after becoming obsessed with the Dark Side of the force. After wandering for sometime, they come across the humanoid beings known as the Sith and enslave the species. The dark siders then become known as the Lords of the Sith. For many millennia the Jedi know as “the light side” has been the keepers of the peace. Fighting the enemy the Sith Lord in furious battles all along history, and eventual destruction of the dark site, or have they. Jedi: Timeline opens up

Jedi: Timeline mod site opens today. In the last two week of so since the mod became an idea in Timmay’s head, a lot has happened. They have a very skilled team already busy at work. As you will see later in this post 3 un-skinned model renders, and a few more they will show you later. The response from the community has been great. They have about 30 members to the forums, and were ranked #5 on www.moddb.com on last Friday. They would also like to thanks Yoshiro from The UT2K3 Star Wars mod, “Troopers Dawn of Destiny” www.ut2003troopers.com. He has been a big help with some advice he has shared with them.

Now onto the first models made for Jedi: Timeline. First you will see the DC-15 Clone Blaster Rifle modeled by RaNger. You will see this gun featured in “Episode 2 Attack of the clones.” It was used by well you know the clones. This large rifle is carried in two hands and is very heavy. A clone trooper is trained to hold this rifle and carry it around. To prevent dangerous heat buildup, the DC-15's cooling coils force-feed a liquid cooling agent called freelol through an intricate capillary system that carries heat away from vital components and into the forward vent capacitator.

Next you will see Mace Windu’s lightsaber modeled by Shizoku. You have seen this featured in Episode 2 and most likely in the coming episode 3. It is the first Lightsaber in history to have a purple blade, which makes it a very unique blade. The Lightsaber's deadly energy blade can cut through almost any substance. Because the blade itself has no weight and emits no heat, a novice may easily miscalculate its path. A Jedi Knight undertakes years of study to master the weapon, developing the skill that allows him or her to block incoming blaster bolts or fend off as many as a dozen attackers.

Last but not least you will see the R5 unit (astromech droids) modeled by benito camela. The astromech droids are a series of versatile utility robots generally used for the maintenance and repair of starships and related technology. These small droids are often equipped with a variety of tool-tipped appendages that are stowed in recessed compartments.
