Then finally watching as they all come running out of the open doors and beat the other team to death with Laser Cleavers! On the first day of Christmas... ner-ner-neer... Twelve Jailbreak maps!

Twelve Jailbreaaaak maaaps *cough*. Sorry, got carried way there. Whilst you all wait impatiently for the next release of Jailbreak: Source, I thought I'd give you an idea of the maps you'll be stealth/wall-hacking through! So below are the twelve maps that have made it into Jailbreak: Source 0.6! Each one is based around a different theme, and there's three different gamemodes to get your claws or robotic hands into.

Abalos: An underground station with three different levels/platforms and a running train.

Arroyo: An off-world military base built into a dried up river bed.

DB Bleach: A Deathball Arena set on a floating platform in the skies above Metropolis. (Deathball)

DB Arroyo: A Deathball Arena set on the Military Base on Arroyo. (Deathball)

Deepcore: An underwater drilling platform and research facility.

Iridium: A giant capital base ship, slowing spiralling out of control in deep space.

Kimiko: An off-world mining colony, set inside an active volcano. (King of the Hill)

Madesco: A prison planet, where the worst offenders are sent to serve their time.

Metropolis: The capital city, a giant sprawling metropolis of drunken debauchery.

Mizraim: An ancient tomb, buried deep within the sands of this desert planet.

Plague: An Elizabethan ghost town where the spirits of olde wander free.

Woodneck: A weather research facility set on an Ice Planet.

We're officially Art Locked this week, so it wont be long at all now until release, so keep your eyes out for more footage and images coming soon!

Very, very soon. In fact, the moment our coder Dogmeat fixes the last few bugs then we can release. So... everyone join me in staring at him until he gets on with it!

I really like the concept for Iridium... does the whole skybox rotate around the map to make it look like it's spinning? Is it fast enough to be disorienting? :P

No i'm afraid that the 2Dskybox of JB_Iridium is static, but the entire 3D skybox is dynamic. Starship's circle the playable space, firing at it, and causing the map to shake. Also the ships in the skybox attack each other using flak fire (thanks to the OB's particle system), and there's also a small (random) surprise circling also.

Huge apologies to people patiently waiting, but as the news post says were now completely Art, Map, and Feature locked as of this week. Make of that what you will.

No not feature creep i'm afraid. The simple fact that between the four of us, we've had to deal with relationship breakdown's, life threatening surgery, long drawn out recovery's, soul destroying jobs, and after all that we've been trying to work on a total conversion almost from scratch, because the last version was totally beyond repair. Sadly all these have taken there toll, and dragged on for an admittedly long time, but hey that's life.

Haha! Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if we're cursed! Has been a rough year! But yeah, NullSoldier, it'll be out soon. We have a few small bugs to fix, and then we're done.
