There's nothing quite like the rush of running, falling, jumping and crawling your way toward the release switch whilst under fire from rockets, railguns and lasers... then jabbing that switch and releasing all your team mates! Then finally watching as they all come running out of the open doors and beat the other team to death with Laser Cleavers! There's never a dull moment in JB, you're either fighting to stay alive, fighting to release your team mates, or fighting to escape from jail!

It has begun... Today we start the build up to Jailbreak 0.4, and to kick things off we bring you four new shots of one of the new 0.4 maps... Plague. Plague is set in an Elizabethan period town somewhere in England, recently struck by The Black Plague. The map includes a theatre, an old church, a castle and an asylum, with many enterable buildings, and plenty of scares to keep you on your toes... trust us, escaping from the asylum is as scary as it is difficult!

From the screen shots, i thought this was a completely different mod.
The textures are a little plain, but I like the mood!

Good! That's what we're aiming for... to make each map have a completely unique theme and feel!
Thats very very nice, you don't see a lot of maps lately that are so different from anything Ive seen on source.
Some textures are a little blurry but its great to see some non-hl2 textures and props. Good stuff guys!
well i hope this brings some activity to the mod. when i tried to play nobody was on.

@ Betelgeuze, We are going out of our way to create maps that don't particularly fall into a niche or a solid theme, (especially ones that have been seen on Source before) instead we are just trying to create a bunch of cool (almost random) environments that will be fun, visually impressive (well at least i think) and have some great gameplay too, Kind of like Unreal.
@ AgeNt_ , Yeah unfortunately there just aren't enough servers at the moment, with more popular mods coming and going our servers disappeared after a while. Keep checking back though as the servers tend to fill up quickly and its an absolute blast with 8+ people!!
We have a lot more to show in the coming weeks/months so stay tuned because we have some great stuff on the way!!

Indeed we do... we've completely overhauled 0.3.1 almost from scratch with loads of new features and redeveloped old ones, so over the next few weeks we'll be releasing loads of media.
It's a shame about the servers not running 0.3.1 anymore, but then we just have to hope 0.4 has more of an impact!
This will be so awesome, I love Jailbreak 0.3.1, it's awesome with 16 players.
And with these new upcoming maps, overhauled features. This is going to be even better! :D
Gotta say I agree that this mod has huge potential, I've only played 0.3.1 and enjoyed it so much when the server was full that I've started to spend some of my spare time helping out in any way that I can :)

Nice! Good job for breaking away from the HL2 scheme. It's a real breath of fresh air to see original content.

And now with all the new stuff that is coming out with 0.4 It's gonna be tha bomb! add a decent amout of player and one of the fine maps and we got ourselfs a JAILBREAK! :D
