A short trip, an ode to the shotgun, and a game made to celebrate the ever-blissful gutfilled splash of shotgun + antlion. Made in two weeks, + another week of tweaking. Comments and criticisms appreciated. Note: requires Half Life 2: Episode 2 to play.

Great mod I loved how it felt so outside... Yet still inside. FANATICAL lighting, too!

Nice one. Bit short and a bit annoying at times, but nice ideas and a great ending. 8/10!

Nice level design, interesting setting, and the eerie writing on the walls was a nice touch, reminiscent of Portal.

The only significant negative I came across was the ending was a bit too hard. Hard in the wrong way, I mean. I dropped down into the pit without taking the turrets with me the first time, and there's no way to get back out once you enter it, meaning I was doomed and had to reload. It's really not obvious that you have to take the turrets with you, and not allowing the player to backtrack is just bad design.

It took me a while to work out I had to take the turrets with me, but once I worked it out I moved the turrets down the tunnel bit by bit, keeping them in a rough line and using them to push the Antlions back. I'm proud to say I managed the end without cheating (on hard, no less).

So, Intrusion is good - above average, but a few flaws hold it back. 8/10 (I'd give it an 8.6 if this site allowed increments)

this mod was great, i enjoyed every second playing it, but it was really short, and i didn't like that, i respected the maps, and it was just very insane, having to fight off antlions while setting up turrets was pretty fun to! i usually hate mods the don't give you enough weapons, but that shot gun was all i needed. thanks a lot for a good mod!
If you need a beta tester! im here 10/10

The level design and feel of the map was excellent, if not a little boring in place. And it goes to show what you can do when u put your mind to it. Hope future mods look at this and learn and that the team continue with a new map!

... This is a map, not a mod...

The distinction is a blurry one. Technically, what separates a map/map pack from a mod is whether it's packaged as a mod (with a separate executable and the like). Both could conceivably use some new assets, but if a map/map pack uses enough new assets, it's generally packaged as a mod for ease of installation.

Anyway, this 'mod' does have quite a few new assets and also has a different coloured HUD. It's not exactly constructed entirely out of official stuff.
