Interstate Nitro is a Modification which brings Mulitplayer Car-Combat Action into Battlefield 2. The goal is to create a remake of Activision's Interstate 76 in a modern engine with all it's benefits.
The early 1970s.
A president resigns, the U.S. is defeated in a large-scale war and the economy begins to crumble.
As the Country slides into a deep depression, crime levels rise to unprecedented heights.
Villains take to their cars.
As America is seized by disorder and chaos, law enforcement becomes ineffective and even corrupt.
But a new breed of law is emerging...
The Vigilante
Vilgilantes and Creepers fight each other with modded muscle and pony cars.
The modifications include Armor, NOS, Machine Guns, Cannons, Mortars, Rocket Launchers Flame Throwers,...
All the vehicles are detailed models of real world cars. However their brand names were altered in a funny way.

We are back with a small update keeping you informed about our status. We are sorry for the delay but RL has kept us busy.
The map A lot of Asphalt we announced earlier was revised and polished. Check some impressions here:
Also Matt has been working on a new Map called Slick Track based on an original Interstate '76 Map.
Here are some WIP Shots from our last test:
You can find these in wallpaper resolution in our download section.
Then there is also a new car we have not shown you yet:
A 1969 Plymouth Superbird called Picard Jackrabbit Banshee created by JazzDevil, the fastest car in the Interstate '76 universe, incrementing our current car number to 13.
That's all I have for you this time!

Dr Gonzo, we are looking for testers ;)
I loved Interstate76 but my pc was never good enough to play it well! I really hope you base this on 76 and not 82 because I always prefered 76 but ah well! If you need anymore testers I would be more than happy to! ;-)
Nice, I loved Interstate '82
