Insurgent Strike is a realism mod for Battlefield 2,that was founded in early 2008.Our main goal is to provide the most realistic experience our team can provide, while keeping the game fun. All maps will have full SP/Co-Op support also.Community input/feedback is important to us so please visit our website and sound off. Insurgent Strike is mainly centered around current day combat in the Middle-East against Insurgent groups, such as in Iraq, and Afghanistan.Though the mod also focuses on combat against militia groups, such as in Western Russia. As this is a realism mod, factions, kits, vehicles, maps, and everything in-game has been adjusted to be as realistic as our development team can make it.Though we still try to keep the game fun.We use our Military advisor's knowledge, and our knowledge,of the military, weapons, and current day conflicts,to deliver a fun, realistic combat experience through Battlefield 2.

For the second time in so many weeks, we have a status update for all of you out there. First off, we'd like to welcome 3 new members of the Insurgent Strike Mod, [IS-CON]Kyrax, [IS-DEV]Joni and [IS-DEV] Marcus. Kyrax and Marcus are modellers, who are here to give us a good boost in original content for the mod! Next, we'd like to present the new M249 SAW, compliments of 586 Studios, [IS-DEV]Dogbox,[IS-DEV]Masaca and [IS-DEV]Nick.
This will also be mounted with the SUSAT sight and the M145 Machine gun optic made by [IS-DEV]Nick.
Also, we are currently testing IS with the new 1.5 patch and everything seems to run hitch free with the 0.11 release. Best of all, we have also managed to shave over 500mb off the size of the new 0.12 build thanks to the inclusion of Armoured Fury and Euro Force content in the new patch, bringing down the size to just 1.1gb (including maps).
Last of all, we would like to include some things that didn't make it into the new changelog!
