Insurgency is here! Modern Infantry Combat on Valve's Source Engine. Insurgency (INS) is a total conversion of Half-Life 2 focused on tactical and realistic gameplay.
This tactical modern warfare shooter is really awesome!

Well, first off, this game did have some flaws, but I do have to say it was a great game none the less.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is realistic, jumping into corners, ducking for cover, running
through open streets, it is almost like being a U.S. Marine or an Insurgent, which ever
you want! I thought the gameplay was good, but what bugged me was how big the maps
were, like.. I barely even got oh so many kills because... for example, I was roaming around and was finding no one around, but then I found out, oh the action is over here, and then all of the sudden it moved to somewhere else and it was just ... weird. That is my only real complaint.
Graphics:
There are some great visuals in this game. There really isn't anything wrong with the graphics at all!
Great explosions and quality graphics!
Sound:
The sound was top-notch! There wasn't ANYTHING wrong with it, the sound was there, and
just took me right in the feet of a U.S. Marine, the distant gun fires, the wind going across
the atmosphere, everything was there and I felt like I was really there!
Realism:
What? Don't ask this question, this is beyond realistic, if you think Counter-Strike is more realistic
than this, you got something wrong in your head! This game is awesome, free aiming, no HUD, it is great, even when you can use your ironsights to aim! This mod has just so much realism!!
Well, that is it, try this game now! It is really awesome, and I had a blast with it!

What are you? CSS player?
The battles moves, it's fine. You gotta fight for positions in the map, some times there 2-3 battles going on for different places, it happens. Sometimes (most of the times) there is a main battle, usually on the main street, an open area which give you access to most parts in the map. Now, battles move because as I said there are different areas to capture, some times is a team attacks and the other defends, so don't just tell me your bugged cause the battle moved into another place... it's likely to happen, it gotta happen!
As for the realism... well, it's going back as it was on 1.0, and I'm really happy for that! Insurgency used to be a realistic mod, but then the arcade players took control of it (CSS, DOD:S, HL2 players), and they almost screwed INS. But now, thank God, it's going back to the good ol' Insurgency.
I agree with you saying crap about the realism, and no I am not a CS:S player. In fact I have to say that Counter-Strike: Source is pathetic. :3
Everyone talks about "Graphics" and "Realism". But you all ignore the "GAMEPLAY". Seriously, don't bother to rate it if you don't judge it on what it should be judged on. Or even diss it if you don't give the right reasons.
I see what you're saying. But yes, there is a lot to the gameplay such as shooting teh bad guys. See? It is just another average shooter where you go out on a firefight. If you know what it is like in Iraq, then you know what the gameplay is like.
